12. The Almost Kiss

Gabi's POV

I'm really happy that Dylan has opened up to me.

It's been a few weeks since the Hybrid Training accident.

Currently Dylan an I are making breakfast.

Well, we're trying to.

Dylan is trying to help, but let's face it. He does not know what he's doing.

"Dylan, can you get the flour for the pancakes" I said motioning to the cupboard.

As Dylan gets the flour I go to the fridge to get the eggs.

I get the eggs and turn around to walk back to the mixing bowl and gasp when Dylan throws flour in my face!

"Dylan!!" I shriek being startled by his actions.

Dylan just starts hysterically laughing.

It's game on. I take an egg and crack it over his head and begin laughing at him this time.

"Aw Gabi you look sad" he says with a smirk on his face.

"Wha- Dylan get off me!" I yell as he engulfs me in a hug.

I eventually squirm out of his grasp and he begins chasing me around the kitchen.

Pretty soon I get trapped in a corner of the kitchen.

I look into Dylan's mesmerizing eyes.

He begins to lean in making my breath hitch in my throat, but I don't stop him.

"You guys made a mess!" I hear Noah yell.

"Ew were you guys gonna kiss" He said playfully making my cheeks turn a bright shade of red.

I push Dylan off me deciding to just order something.

I walk into my room and get in the shower to wash the flour off my body.

I almost kissed a Vampire.

I wanted to kiss him.

Then the realization hit me.

The first full moon is tomorrow.

I know Dylan will be there so I shouldn't be nervous. But how can you not be nervous.

After my shower I decided to go work on some spells with Dylan.

We decided to look for a spell to ease pain so we're prepared.

After about 10 minutes of nothing I was getting frustrated.

"I can't do it!" I groaned.

"Come on try again, you can do it princess." Said Dylan rubbing my back as a way to comfort me.

I tried the spell again making sure to concentrate.

I felt something.

I opened my eyes for a brief second seeing candles lighting up.

After I finished the spell on Dylan I needed to test it.

"What should I do?" I asked him.

"Do another spell. Break one of my bones or something." He said as if it was nothing.

I looked at his wrist and began to concentrate on breaking it.

I started to hear cracking, so I know it was working.

"Gab, that didn't hurt at all! You need to do that spell tomorrow night!" He said excitedly.

We've been working on spells all day.

I checked the clock.

11:46 p.m.

"Dylan, we should probably head to bed." I whispered pulling him off the couch.

We began walking upstairs into my room.

"Ok well I'll see you in the morning beautiful." Dylan said before giving me a small peck on the cheek.

April POV

I've been trudging through the woods for an hour looking for a shelter that may not even exist.

I got a letter a few days ago from someone saying they have a witch, and she has a big idea.

"April!" I heard someone shout.

I walked in the direction of the voice find an older women probably around her 40s who I assumed to be the witch.

"The witch?" I questioned.

"Correct, come with me I'll show you to my home." She said while leading me further into the woods.

We began walking in a quite awkward silence so I decided to start a conversation.

"So can you and your friend help us bring out the hybrid powers?" I asked the witch.

"Yes, he only hired me to help the hybrid actually" she said before we came into the view of a small cabin.

As I walked in I saw many candles and a face that I knew all too well.

Jake.

"Jake!? You're the one who can 'help' us!?" I Said with a surprised look on my face.

I turned around to leave and realized that I couldn't get out.

That witch trapped me in here!!!

"Sorry babe but it was our only choice, we'll be back with the hybrid by sunrise." Jake said before him and the witch left.

I'm so stupid!!!

I thought they didn't want me to bring my phone because it would mess with spells.

What am I going to do?

I need to warn them somehow!!
