5. Witches & Vampires?

"Fine you can leave now."

"Tell the young girl what she is. She won't be to any help if you don't." Said Dylan.

"Dylan. Go." Said Jake clenching his jaw.

"You know you can't beat me young one. Gabriella is very powerful if you need her off your hands I'll be happy to take her. See you next weekend, don't be late." Said Dylan before leaving in a flash.

What does that mean?

Why did he call Rebecca the witch?

"What is he talking about?" I said nervous for the answer.

"Gabi. Listen to me. You can never repeat this to anyone else, ever. Do you understand." Said Jessica.

"Jess you barely know the girl! You can't tell her yet!" Said Jake quite defensive.

"Dylan is right. If we want her to help us we need to tell her so Bec can prepare her." Said Jessica.

Prepare me?

What does that even mean?

"Jess she's not ready!"

"I'm telling her. She needs to know."

Jake looked very mad.

Suddenly Jake just.... disappeared.

How was he there one second then just gone.

"Jake is a dick sometimes sorry." Said Jessica sighing.

"What is going on?" I asked still clueless.

Jessica grabbed my wrist leading me to her couch sitting down.

"Gabi. This is going to sound crazy. Just listen to me."

This whole day has been crazy.

"Your family descends from a long line of powerful witches. The Lørwa Witches. They are some of the most powerful witches in history. An ancestor of yours named Evelyn Lørwa was the last of the witches, we thought. She died in the late 1800s. She must've had a child before she died that no one knew about.When you said your last name was Leroy I immediately thought of the Lørwa Witches. Then when you came to school with Evelyn's locket I knew you were a descendant of Evelyn.You look like a clone of her it was quite obvious." Said Jessica.

"So.... I'm a witch?" I asked still kind of confused.

"Yes we believe so. If you want to start practicing witchcraft Rebecca would love to help you out."

"Wait. Are you a witch too?" I said.

"Not exactly. Me and Jake, we're vampires. I know it sounds crazy but it's true. We don't drink from humans. Animals keep us alive but a bit weak. Dylan is much stronger than us so we try to not get in his way as much as we can because he can kill us." Said Jessica like it was no big deal.

Vampires are real?

What is happening.

I think I've had enough crazy for tonight.

"Do you have any more questions?"

"No, I'm just going to head home actually. Don't worry I won't tell anyone." I said grabbing my stuff and walking down the road.

I reached into my pocket to call Jeremy to pick me up.

When I got home I decided to go straight to bed.

My grandmother has a check up tomorrow and since I'm not staying at Jessica's now I'll probably bring her.

I'll probably ask my grandmother about our witch history.

She used to tell me stories about Salem Witches when I was younger, I didn't believe her then.

But now I'm not so sure.

Do I really want to be part of this witch stuff?

Ugh.

I'm just going to go to sleep.

6:07 a.m.

I couldn't sleep.

After moving around for 20 minuets trying to sleep I decided to go for a walk.

I slipped on my shoes and put on a sweater.

I tip toed to the door trying to be quiet and not wake Jeremy and my grandmother.

I was walking around thinking about everything that happened yesterday.

Is it true that my family is descended from witches?

It just doesn't seem realistic.

I never thought vampires or witches were real.

I liked the idea of it when I was younger. I mean who doesn't want their own Edward Cullen.

But now I don't want this to be real. They said I'm very important, what do they need me for.

I can't do this anymore.

I started walking very quickly back home.

Pretty soon I felt myself running, it's like I had a feeling something bad was going to happen.

I sprinted around the corner onto the street my house is on. Then I felt my head hit the ground and everything went black.
