"Hey Sweetheart"

I opened my eyes squinting at the bright light from the sun.

When my eyes adjusted I noticed Dylan.

My eyes went wide and I backed away quickly.

He's one of them.

I have to run!

I got up running as fast as my legs could carry me.

"I'm not going to hurt you" He said speeding towards me.

In a split second he was in front of me.

"Hey, I'm not like Jake. I promise. I'm here to help you sweetheart." He said putting his hand on the small of my back leading me to his car.

"Don't call me that" I stated harshly shrugging his hand off me.

"I don't need help with anything just bring me home." I demanded getting annoyed with all this 'I'll help you' crap.

What do I need help with? I just want to go home.

"I can't bring you home, it's not safe. You need to trust me."

I chuckled slightly.

"Trust you? You're hilarious!" I spat before getting into the car.

After sitting in the car for about an hour trying to avoid Dylan we pulled up to which I presumed to be his house.

Did I say House? I meant MANSION! It's huge, I would need a map to find a bathroom in this place.

The great thing is there is no one within 10 miles from here.

Actually.

That's probably not a good thing.

"You're going to have to stay with us for a little while, don't worry we'll get you situated in your own room." Dylan said snapping me out of my thoughts.

I didn't even argue, the house is so big that I won't even have to associate with him unless necessary.

Wait.

Did he say we?

Is there more vampires?

"Yes there is love"

I must have been thinking out loud. Crap!

"dont worry everything will be fine. I assure you my family won't hurt you I explained the rules to them. If they touch you they suffer the consequences." Dylan said trying to be reassuring, which by the way was not at all working. Dylan put his hand on my back leading me inside.
