The house was smaller than the one they had before. The backyard and his room were bigger though, so that's something.
Tyler didn't like this at all. He had to leave his friends and start over.
He didn't have a hard time making friends, he had a hard time keeping them. He was lucky to have Jenna, but he was forced to leave her behind.
As Tyler explored the rooms he heard his mom calling him from somewhere downstairs. When he got there, he saw a big room with a door leading to the backyard and another to what was supposed to be the kitchen. He guessed that this was the living room "Isn't this place just wonderful?" His mother smiled. He stayed quiet. His mom sighed.
"Look, Tyler. I know you didn't want to move, but it's for the best okay?" Tyler shook his head and backed away from his mother, which only made her sigh again "Why don't you go looking around? See what's around town. Meet some people, maybe even a girlfriend" his mother laughed, Tyler didn't "sure, ok" he simply said. The place was pretty quiet. Some people jogging and people walking dogs, but that was mostly it. No one very interesting. This town was definitely bigger than his hometown.
Tyler had always been curious. He got to a place that didn't seem like anyone had been there in a while. It was the end of the street with an empty Prussian blue house and across that, an empty spot where maybe a house used to be.
The wall at the end of the road had some cracks, it barely looked like a wall. It was more like pieces of concrete with bushes, vines and tree roots all over it. Except, there was this one crack that someone around his age could fit in. He looked inside. There was something there. It was like a path leading somewhere. Just as he was about to walk in, he heard someone behind him say a soft "Hi"
He turned around to find a blue haired boy standing there, staring at him "Oh uh, hi" he said back "I saw you looking through that" he pointed to the crack "oh! Yea, I was just curious about what's inside there" the boy laughed "Want to see?"
Without knowing his name, Tyler followed the mysterious blue haired boy inside. After a small walk, they reached a clearing with a swing set and a slide. There was no other way out "That excuse of a wall wasn't there before. Before, this park was opened to the people who lived here" Tyler walked to the swings and sat down. Surprisingly, they still worked and didn't break "So, what happened?" The mysterious blue haired boy looked down "Well, they closed it when- er, when someone died here" Tyler gasped "Really? In a park? With houses all around?""Hello?"
Tyler turned back to where the exit was. He slowly walked out.
"Hello! I heard you talking to someone and just wanted to make sure I wasn't crazy. You know, hearing voices and shit" the guy grinned "Oh, yea, right. I'm new here and decided to look around and I came across this place and got curious" the boy nodded, understandably "the name's Brendon" "Tyler" both boys shook hands.
"It was nice to meet you. My house s'just over the corner if you ever wanna hang out. I've got to go now. See ya later" he said and walked back "bye" Tyler said. He slowly crept back, only to find the blue haired boy was gone without Tyler realizing he had left.
