Mirror of the Soul
Shiny and tall
Dauntless, it stood in front of her
'You're scarred, you're dark
To my eyes, you're a disgrace
Petite and fragile, you're so, so weak
Called as a beauty, you just don't deserve to be'
It's voice bellowed at her
Shaking her spirit
And rupturing her heart
Indeed, she thought
I'm scarred, I'm dark
A curse it is, to be born like me
🔹🔹🔹
Oh, my love
If only you'd seen
What the true meaning of beauty is
For the moon is scarred too
For the letters on the Bible are dark too
If only I could take you away
Far, far away from these shallow, shallow minds
You would see where real beauty lies
In the mirror of the soul
But alas, it cannot be
For I am the mirror of the soul
For you can't see me, hear me, reach me...
