I didn't have anything to expect.

After all, I've never seen them for years. Okay, scratch that, I don't even have any memories of them. Of course, I've heard of it plenty of times, that even if you've rarely spent time with your family, there's just some odd connection you. I wonder if I'll feel that later..

I lowered my head, fiddling with my fingers. I didn't know what to say. Right now, in the car, the same atmosphere from earlier was once again surfacing. All I could really hear was the light rain from outside, which didn't worry me, because I doubt there would be thunder, and Sadie whenever she popped her gum.

This has probably been, so far, the longest time I've been quiet. Wow! What a memorable day. I bet they'd bring this up soon, when I feel a lot better. These past few days, quite plenty of unexpected things happen to me I'd prefer to keep as secrets.

And as I said, I'm not very good at keeping things to myself. I wonder if I can open this up to anyone at all.. I didn't really get why almost everyone came along. Sadie was here, her mother, Uncle, some butlers and another doctor, and of course, bodyguards.

"You okay?" Sadie, who was beside me, questioned. As she did, she handed me some gum, which I unconsciously declined. Though she always coloured her hair and wore highlights-- the purple highlights she wore complimented her dark brown locks.

"Of course!" I sent her a reassuring smile. "I'm going to see my parents. I mean, I'd still prefer to see my brother, but better than nothing, right?" she stared at me for a while, before nodding and lowering her hand. "I just can't predict what they might say. They might be stunned by my beauty, don't you think?"

"Yeah, yeah." she playfully rolled her eyes. "That's always your prediction for all of your first meetings. But you know, they might not like seeing the person who's thrown them to jail in the first place." she motioned to my Uncle who was in front, looking out of the window.

"I guess I won't expect something heartwarming then." I took a deep breath, sulking in my seat. To distract myself, I started to use my phone. Geez, now that I was finally calm, I forgot that I had to have my nails done today! "Say, after this, can we go to the mall?"

Sadie and Uncle looked at me with wide eyes. "Seriously?"

"I do take this as a very important thing." I promised. I just hated seeing my nails come to this. And besides, I'm pretty sure there'd still be time. "But I really need to get my nails done."

Sadie smiled and crossed her arms, "I guess we won't be able to stop you."

Now, throughout the rest of the ride, I was on my phone. Usually, I would've taken selfies, but I couldn't bare holding up any of my hands, because.. my nails! Ugh. So I just ended up chatting with Jaehee, asking her what shade of nail polish would be good.

The car stopped, and I thought it was because of traffic. Now that I was back to reality, it seemed like I didn't want to. To be frank, I hated being serious. It felt like a demon was controlling me whenever it happened. And seriously, who liked that?

I slipped my phone in my pocket, and turned to the door as one of the guards opened it for me. He was holding an umbrella, and held out his hand to help me up. I thanked him, and when I looked up, I found ourselves coming face to face to a police station.

As we walked inside, I couldn't help but feel uneasy. Uncle was the one in front, hands in his pocket, something he did whenever he was nervous. Behind him, were the 2 doctors and some of the bodyguards. Sadie was leaning under the entrance door, tapping her feet to an unknown rhythm as she chewed on her gum.
