I lightly hit my head on the table, groaning, as the fare had started yet no one came to visit my booth.

Just then, I hear muffled murmurs from outside the tent, getting closer and closer. I sat up and started fixing my hair and put on a bright smile, when I started to recognise the voice and sulked again. Lucas and Jaehee walked in, paper bags in hand.

"A fortune-telling booth!" Jaehee squealed, dropping the bags on the side and immediately sitting down in front of me. She placed her money on the table and laid her hands, "So, Irina, what's my fortune? Will I discover true love?" she joked.

"Ha, well, let me read your fortune!" I placed a singer on my lips, motioning Lucas to keep quiet about the fact that I can't fortune tell, and or palm read. I gazed down and stared at Jaehee's palms. Then, I averted my gaze from that to my phone on the floor, where I looked up a website about fortune telling.

"Well, since this line, which I assume is your head line, is cut to the middle, I assume that you will encounter problems with your future career or friendships." I blurted out. Honestly, that was just a guess. But hey! I did have a good feeling about it. "To be frank, I'm not a professional palm reader, so me being me, that's the only thing I can say." I laughed evilly.

Lucas sent me a look that probably said: 'Or maybe you can't palm read at all?'

"Really..?" she trailed off, looking at her hand. "I've never really had any problems with my work or friends.." she pursed her lips. "But anyways, I don't mind if you're not a professional palm reader! I'll probably get back to you after I go and hold my booth. Though, Namjoon isn't around yet."

Lucas sat beside me, handing me a water bottle, which I immediately drank. He then whispered, "I told you this wasn't a good idea. You're lucky Jaehee's nice enough to not question you about it." he pointed out, "What if it's someone who wants to expose you?"

"Geez, Lucas, you think about things too much." I smirked, tapping the top of his head. He clicked his tongue, fixing his hair. "And besides, if that certain someone does hate me, it's your turn to read their palms and tell their fortune! I won't push them."

He sighed frustratingly, but didn't answer. I drank my water again. Jaehee had her head poked out of the tent, waiting or looking for someone. Just then, I see her smile and wave, "Namjoon!" at the sound of his name, I chocked on the water.

"Irina," Lucas' eyes widened, his worry obviously out of instinct as his hands unconsciously handed me my handkerchief that was on the table, "Idiot. Are you okay?" I nodded and waved a hand, signalling I really was okay, but I was not!

From where I was, I could see his silhouette and hear his low annoying voice, "Man, they really cancelled the tests. Now I'm stuck partnering with you and holding the face paint booth." Namjoon probably thought this was their booth, as he walked inside.

When he saw me, his smile immediately dropped, and my eyes narrowed.

"I understand the struggle." Lucas sulked, and I noticed him side-eyeing me. However, I was already used to how he talked about me. And honestly, I could care less. "A fortune-telling booth. Compared to face-painting, you'd actually get work done even if it isn't what they expect."

"Fortune-telling?" his expression of scorn broke when he started laughing. I felt my blood boil as I watched him laugh. I clenched my fists and stood up, feeling Lucas and Jaehee's gaze on me as I walked over to him and started pushing him out of the tent. "Laugh all you want."

I held out my hand, grabbing the huge pin sign on the nearby table and pinning it outside the tent. I gazed back at Namjoon and pointed at the sign: 'Pay before entering~' "Sorry, smartass, but you have to pay me first." at my words, he scoffed.
