Until It Hurts – Francisca Hall

Take me for all I'm worth, touch me until it hurts...Until my body burns, love me until it hurts. Until it hurts, until it hurts, until it hurts, until it...”

You know, you could have just told me, I wouldn't have cared.” Dani said, leaning her head against Austin's car door.

Austin scoffed. “Oh, yeah. 'Hey, Dani, I'm gonna be spending the night with Chrissy because she needs my help since Ronnie's away on tour. Hope you don't mind! Bye!' Sounds like a fantastic way to get into yet another fight.”

She sat up and stared at Austin's hard face staring straight ahead at the road in front of him. “She and Ronnie are together. Why would it matter why you were there or not? I just don't understand why you had to lie. I honestly would've been fine.”

You're not fine!” Austin said, turning to her and coming to a jolting stop at a traffic light. “You've been giving me this passive aggressive phase for so long now!”

You've been talking about how much you wanted to come home just to see me. But then, you tell me you couldn't come home because you wanted to spend 'one more night with the guys.' Come on, Austin! Why would you have to lie?” She said, her voice rising.

Austin clenched his jaw and once the light turned green, he sped right through it. “Because the last thing I need is for you to turn jealous girlfriend on me!” Dani watched the speedometer rise quicker and quicker on his dashboard. “I'm trying my best to just keep our arguing back down to a minimum because ever since you've moved here, you've been nothing but jealous of all the girls I introduce you to!”

Austin, slow down, please.”

Austin blinked quickly and slowly let his foot off the gas pedal. He shook his head like he had just turn slight schizo for a second. “Sorry...”

He turned into their driveway, put it in park, and turned off the car. They both unbuckled their seat belts but remained sitting there. Finally, they met each other's eyes.

We haven't had sex in three months.” Dani said.

Austin raised an eyebrow and let out a small laugh. “Yeah. I'm aware.”

She shook her head. “So I just don't understand why you wouldn't want to come home to your girlfriend but instead go hang out with your ex-girlfriend because she needed help. She could easily get someone else to help her with whatever the hell it was.” She jumped out of the car and slammed the door shut, storming toward the front door. She whipped it open and let it hit the wall, heading quickly for the kitchen.

She heard the door slam shut as she put down her bag. Before she could do anything else, Austin turned her around and kissed her deeply. This was what she had been waiting for for months.

It just sucked that this was the start of everything else to fall apart. Before The Thing happened.

“Rise and shine, sleeping beauty!” A loud voice said in her ear, shaking her violently. She turned over, ready to punch whoever it was but Vic was already walking out of her room smiling.

“Vic!” She grabbed a pillow and threw it at him but it whizzed right past him as he headed for the small kitchen.

“You better practice your aim, babe!”

Dani groaned and fell back into her pillow, attempting to fall back asleep. She had these dreams a lot lately. These dreams of past occurrences with Austin ever since she found out she was going back on tour with him this fall.
