When I close my eyes....
Violence stops and crime cease
The world is filled with beautiful peace
Children clap and sing and play
They all enjoy the beautiful day.
When I close my eyes....
I'm in a place where there's no night
Where everything is cheerful, lovely and bright
Where rushing rivers run forever
And my nostrils bask in the fresh scent of water.
When I close my eyes....
Furious forest fire fades
The world looks like it has just been made
Unpolluted my exhaust and fumes
Giving flowers a chance to bloom.
But when I open my eyes.....
Everything is ugly and bad
Making me angry and sad
I realize, with no trace of gleam
It has all been just a dream.
