I turned to Ben. "What do we do now?" I asked

"I don't know" Ben looked scared, I think we both were. Ben directed me to some seats against the wall of the shuttle. We sat in silence. I had no idea where we were going but I didn't want to ask. What was I even doing by joining him? What was I agreeing to? Was this a mistake? No. This was the right thing to do. I can't abandon Ben. Not again. We needed each other. We are the equal halves of the light and the darkness. Neither of us knew what that meant but it was something.
I felt the shuttle slow as we approached a larger ship. Ben stood up as I heard the clink on metal as the shuttle landed. Ben put his hand on my back
"Just stay quite and follow me".
The ramp of the shuttle lowered and we walked down. I noticed there was no stormtrooper with restraints waiting for me. Not a single person looked at me as Ben walked me across the hangar bay to a hallway. I found this odd, did they notice I was there? As soon as we got to the hallway Ben removed his hand from my back. We went down the hallway and then another and another, until we got to an elevator and went up for several minutes. I didn't speak a word in the elevator and neither did Ben.  When the elevator stopped we got off and went down 2 more hallways until we stopped at a door with a keypad.
"This hallway is off limits to everyone except for me, no one else knows the password. You'll be safe in here." Ben punched in a key code and the door opened. When we stepped inside it was just a hallway that looked like the rest except it had a few doors connected to it and it stopped with another door on the end. Ben walked down the hall ahead of me and stopped at a door and opened it "you can stay here for now" I walked over and looked inside it was simple, with a bed an empty shelf and another door that lead to a bathroom. "My room is just down the hall and if you are hungry there is another room across the hall that has food in it".

"Does Hux know I'm here?" I asked, the first words I have spoken since we left the city. Ben looked down at his feet and shifted his body weight before looking back up to meet my eyes.

"No"

"Why not?"

"He wouldn't understand" Ben reached up and ran a hand through his hair, he looked stressed out.

"Okay" I took a deep breathe, this was going to be very hard. I wanted to convince Ben to leave the First Order, but I know that wouldn't be easy. I need to take small steps.

"You should get some sleep" Ben broke our eye contact and started to walk down the hall to his own room. I stood there and watched him and then went into my own room and closed the door.
