I went to one of the newly renovated rooms and took a look around. According to her file, Natalia's favorite color is purple, so everything in her new room is a shade of purple or white, with the exception of the light colored wood floor. Her new princess themed bed was piled with a bunch of stuffed animals, her closet filled with a little bit of clothes, and box of toys rested in the corner. There was a princess theme going on in the room, between the wall decorations and furniture, and I hope she'll like it. I then went next door to what will be Vincent's room. He likes cars supposedly so we made it look like a raceway, between the race car bed and the road themed carpeting, it will hopefully be something he likes. There's even a race course going around his room on the wall. Once he puts the toy car on the track, all it'll need is one little push before it zooms around the whole room. I left his room to go back to mine, making sure that I looked okay. Today was the day we get to bring home Natalia and Vincent. I was so nervous. What if they didn't like us? What if they got homesick from the shelter?

I felt a pair of hands on my shoulders, gently kneading them and I let out a little breath, looking up into the mirror to see Cole behind me, giving me a gentle massage. "Relax babe," he said softly, "everything's going to be fine. They're little kids so they should be perfectly fine with us, they haven't really experienced anything." He reassured me and pressed a gentle kiss to the side of my neck. I smiled and turned around to face him. "You sure?" I asked him, still a little unsure. "Yes I'm sure. You're the most amazing man I've ever met, how can they not love you?" He said. I smiled and pecked his cheek as I blushed slightly from the compliment. "Let's go to the orphanage." I said, taking his hand and trying to pull him downstairs. He chuckled and followed me downstairs, getting in with me. "The car seats are in here, right?" I asked him. He nodded as he drove to the orphanage. "Yes Dalton, everything is ready and perfect to bring the kids home." He says, mocking me a bit. I made a face at him as I reached into the blue plastic bag at my feet. Inside were two blue jewelry boxes. In each was a 14-karat gold chain bracelet with either Natalia or Vincent's full name on the outside of the tag, with their adoption date both engraved on the inside. I couldn't wait to give it to them. I was pulled out of my thoughts when I felt Cole giving me a gentle nudge, letting me know that we were here.

I took a deep breath before getting out the car and heading in. We went to the front office knocking on the door. One of the staff members came out. "Ms. Basset is busy at the moment setting for an adoption, can I help you with anything? But keep it brief, you can't be here long." I raised one eyebrow at the woman, she was being a bit rude, does she not know who we are? "You do know who we are, right?" Cole asked. She shook her head. "No, nor do I care, now what do you want?" I rolled my eyes. "Well hi, I'm Dalton Rapattoni and that's my fiancé Cole Pendery, and yes, we are the Dalton and Cole that donate millions to this orphanage every year." The woman's jaw dropped, her mouth forming a perfect 'o'. "Oh and that adoption that Veronica is setting up? It's ours." I said. Veronica came out of her office and spotted us in the hall with the employee. "Nellie, is everything alright?" Cole spoke up before Nellie could say anything. "Everything is alright, but I'd suggest a hospitality course for your employees. Some of them desperately need it." He said, looking at Nellie. Veronica gave her a look before turning back to us. "I see. I'll have a word with Nellie later, but right now, let's head to the parlor downstairs so you can meet Natalia and Vincent." She says, leading us into the parlor. We took a seat on the couch as Veronica used the intercom to signal another staff member to bring the kids down along with their things. I sat there, taking multiple deep breaths, holding one of Cole's hands in both of mine.

When I heard a noise coming from the staircase, I turned to see Natalia and Vincent come down the stairs. One the housekeeper let go of their hands, Vincent immediately rushed to Cole, Natalia to me, both of them climbing onto the couch to attack us with hugs. I immediately let out a breath of relief. They actually like us, unless they were told to do that, but I think they really like us. "Hi Daddy!" Natalia said, looking me in the eyes. As she said that, I could feel the tears welling up and then falling down my face. This was a dream come true for us. I smiled and wiped my eyes before giving Natalia another hug. "Hi sweetheart. Me and Papa got something for you and Vincent if you want to see it." They both nodded, their eyes wide with curiosity, watching me as I reached down by my feet and picked up the bag. I took out the two boxes, handing Vincent's to Cole as I took Natalia's. I opened it and took out the bracelet. "Look. It has your name on it and then on the inside is today's date. The we adopted you." I fastened the bracelet as she looked at it. "Thank you daddy." She said wrapping her arms around her neck. I went to stand up so that I could fill out the last of the paperwork, but Natalia clung to me like a little monkey. I chuckled, supporting her with one arm as I filled out the last forms. Veronica laughed as I gave her the forms. "Well I'm glad to see that they like you." I laughed. "Me too." She smiled. "Have fun. We'll be doing a follow up visit in four weeks just to see how they're adjusting to everything." I nodded and made my way out the orphanage, Cole tailing me with Vincent and the housekeeper taking up the rear, carrying the kids' bags. I opened the trunk for her as I strapped Natalia into her car seat. I looked over to make sure Vincent was properly strapped in before I got in the front seat as Cole closed the trunk, then getting into the driver's seat.
