Facts about the story.

● At first, I was going to kill off Isaac and Liam. But then I remembered that I would be killed if I did that.

●This book was just a hobby. When I published the first chapter, I already was in the 7th chapter to write. And it was till a week when someone saw this book.

●People have asked me who is Mark. And well, Mark is based on the main character of The Kill Order. Alec, Tina are also characters of the Kill Order.

●I wanted two founders to have their co-founders related. The founders were Mark and Thomas. The co-founders were Mary, sister of Mark and Tina, cousin of Stiles. Why? Later on...

●At first, I wanted Mark to be an old guy. Because in The Kill Order he was a teenager and it would been about what twenty years since it happened? But I decided to go with him being an teenager.

●I was going to make Thomas unable to forgive Scott. But realised that it was sad that way.

●I was going to kill Liam first. But then had the idea of making Mark take his place when the lighting part came.

●I had this whole backstory about Mark being a werewolf and that his family were hunters and even, I think I had a draft of him having an older brother that got killed for being a werewolf too. But it was too complicated and I took it off.

●I was going to make them pass more challenges and I even thought of killing off Minho. But I wasn't that bad.

●Theo was supposed to be a good guy here. There was a draft where they find him, Thomas hits him but helps them. But I decided to stick with evil Theo.

●This book takes place after season 6B. But I got confused and accidentally put them in school.

●Mark was supposed to get the Flare. And I had in mind that he died, in two ways, one was that Thomas had to kill him because he was becoming a Crank or that Janson killed him when he tried to kill Thomas. And in the end, it was the last one.

●Mark was actually supposed to be the bad guy of this story. When I made him, he was supposed to be the antagonist. He was supposed to be the one behind everything but I liked him so much that I stopped that draft.

●I thought in the early times of this book to kill off Thomas. Because I wanted Newt to feel what's to lose someone you lost but I wasn't that much of a James Dashner.

●In reality, I made Mark as a future Thomas. What would happen to him if he didn't find Newt. But then, I got the parallel that Mark was more similar to Scott.

●I got Mark Winston as a combination of Mark of The Kill Order and Winston of The Maze Runner. And Rick Goodman with Rick as The Walking Dead. And Goodman because it was a metaphor, Mark was once called "Good-Man."

●I was planning to make Scott an antagonist too. The helper of Janson. But I took the idea off.
