"shit okay okay, have a good trip you two! Be sure to come back in a week"
After the loud farewell, the rest of them just went back to the living room and continued watching their favorite variety show "Yoongi-hyung, I'm hungry" Jungkook suddenly spoke, looking at Yoongi with eyes full of hope, he wants to taste Yoongi's homemade cooking again
"But we just had breakfast, at least let it sit on your tummy for a while" Yoongi opposed, he can't always grant the youngest' wishes just because he's adorable when he tells what he wants with a wide hopeful eyes and slightly pouted mouth, besides, he's tired, or rather too lazy to get up from his comfortable position on the couch, but seeing Jungkook looking at the floor with pouted mouth and slouched shoulder, he sighed "All right what do you guys want?"
"tteokbokki! I miss that" Jimin suggested, Taehyung nodded his head aggressively
"Kimchi fried rice would be good!" Hoseok said along with his bubbly sound effects
"I want seaweed soup" Jungkook said, "that's too simple, make it harder since we're not the one who's cooking" Jimin said earning a flick on his forehead by Yoongi
"then wait here, lucky for you guys, Jin went to grocery last week or you'll just have to settle with plain kimchi and rice" the boys nodded with their eyes fixated on TV, he couldn't help but smile fondly, he headed to the kitchen and gathered all the ingredients "aish, they asked for too much" after sighing he proceeded to cook, even if he's tired he can't just ignore his dongsaengs' request, what can he do? He's a goner for the maknae line's cuteness, well even if Hoseok isn't part of the maknae line, he still dotes for him and he thinks of Hoseok as the friend he can goof around with whenever he's strucked with hype
While tasting the tteokbokki he heard footsteps towards the kitchen "Hyung how can I help?" he turned around and saw Jungkook at the counter, he's eyes are shining as if he would be disappointed if Yoongi wouldn't ask for his help 'Well there's nothing much to do since i'm almost done with the complicated dishes' but he knows Jungkook too well and he wouldn't want to sadden the younger
"You can chop the leeks, onion and garlic, and take out the kimchi from the fridge" the younger grinned with that and started to do the work he was assigned to, all the while Jungkook concentrated himself on his task, doing it as perfect as he can and without muttering a single word he didn't noticed that he was already done, he was about to tell his hyung that he's done but he stopped when he look at Yoongi, he really admire his older brothers especially Yoongi with his diverse knowledge and calm demeanor making it easy for him to handle heavy situations, just looking at him makes him want to work harder, he traced his gaze on Yoongi's back 'I used to be smaller than him' he thought, the picture in front of him, a hard working man doing all his best to feed his juniors the most delicious dishes he could do, it's too beautiful to look at
"Are you done?" Yoongi asked, Jungkook scrambled nonsense words in panic, 'did he saw me checking him out? Well it's not like I'm checking him out, it's just....Agh'
"what i meant was are you done with your task?"
"umm yes, here" Yoongi took the plate with the ingredients and ruffled the younger's hair "You've done well" he smiled then started to cook the fried rice, Jungkook touched the part of his hair that was ruffled with a proud smile, he loves if when he's being praised for something he worked hard to do and when it's Yoongi doing it, maybe because he knows how perfectionist Yoongi can be and how rare he praises someone, the older is also not into sugarcoated words despite his stage name, it makes it appear truer to him
"Okay all done, call them for lunch I'll arrange the table"
