Double Date From Hell Aftermath: Akihiko and Misaki

Unlike Ritsu and Takano's, the car ride home was anything but silent.

"Misaki, what did I do that was so bad?!" Akihiko said and Misaki felt like hot steam came out his ears.

"WHAT DID YOU DO?! You just insulted my boss!! I could lose my job!!" Misaki yelled and Akihiko huffed.

"I could just give you full time employment at...." Akihiko was interrupted by Misaki.

"For the last time, I am not working for you! And that is beside the point, you gave out private information about some else's past. Ritsu told me they already have enough relationship problems as it is and you have probably made things worse."Misaki said, feeling as sorry for Ritsu as he was for himself. It was his insecurities, was Akihiko only with him because he looked like Ritsu? The thought of being Ritsu's substitute made Misaki sick to his stomach, just like he felt when he thought he was replacing his brother. Akihiko sighed and nodded.

"Maybe I shouldn't have brought up the subject during dinner." Akihiko admitted and Misaki crosses his arms.

"You think?" Misaki asked sarcastically and Akihiko rolled his eyes. "Baka-usagi! You need to be more considerate of people's feelings, even my feelings." Misaki said, whispering the last part but Akihiko heard that last part, which made his eyes shift to Misaki.

"What did you say?" Akihiko asked and Misaki looked down at his hands.

"Nothing." Misaki whispered and Akihiko frowned, he'd knew that they would have to have this conversation sooner or later. And it turned to be sooner.

"I know what you're thinking Misaki." Akihiko simply stared and Misaki blushed in frustration as he laughed sarcastically yet sadly.

"I'm not thinking of anything."

"I'm not using you as Onodera-san's replacement if that what you WERE thinking." Akihiko said andhe frowned as he saw Misaki flinch.

"Did you use him as nii-chan's replacement?" Misaki asked and Akihiko shrugged.

"I did, I was also his senpai's replacement or now known as his boss's replacement." Akihiko said and Misaki tilted his head in confusion at Akihiko. "We wanted something we could never have, so we helped each other feel the void sexually." Akihiko explained and frowned. "But emotionally, I started to feel something for Onodera-san."

BACKSTORY: Ritsu is 20, Akihiko is 25. Akihiko's words are in bold and italic and he's talking to Misaki!

It started when I first met Ritsu when he was twenty, his father (the CEO) wanted to experience what it was like editing for novelist. Even though I was very popular novelist, I chosen to be Onodera's guinea pig.

Akihiko crossed his arms as the door opened and he glared at Onodera publishing's CEO.

"Usami-sensei, I would like to meet my son Ritsu." The CEO said and Ritsu formally bowed.

"Nice to meet, my name is Ritsu Onodera. It's a honor to meet you, Usami-sensei." Ritsu said with tint of blush on his face and Akihiko nodded in acknowledgment.

Then three weeks later, I was late with my manuscript and Ritsu was furious. In fact he went barged into my house, unfortunately when I was sleeping.

"Sensei! The deadline was three days ago, your manuscript is late!" Ritsu yelled from Akihiko's living room while Akihiko was sleeping in his master bedroom. Ritsu huffed angrily before stomping his way up the stairs and he barged into the bedroom. "Usami-sensei! Get your lazy a.." Ritsu yelled and just as a future 18 year old Misaki would have done, Ritsu froze in fear as he looked around the novelist's room, which resembled toy paradise. Akihiko groaned as he slowly turn his room like owl and he glared the new editor. Ritsu gulped before shaking his head vigorously, trying to regain his confidence. "Sensei, get up! The manuscript is late!"
