Ams POV

Two days to go.

I think I might actually be ready for my death.

As weird as that sounds. I think I have finally come to terms with it, and well, there is nothing I can really do to prevent it I guess.

Mika. Another vampire from royal blood who is in the cell opposite me says he has been in here for 18 years. Turns out he is only 20 years old, in vampire terms; he was created when he was 16 but was out of control as his creator didn’t guide him, just let him loose, and a newly created vampire is a very blood thirsty, but at its weakest so very easy to take down.

The witch next door, myelin ~pronounced MY-LEEN~, was taken away yesterday for an apparent “Family Visit”. She hasn’t returned since so I’m guessing they paid her bail, or well, she was tricked by prison guards.

I got a new prison guard actually, complained enough about how the one I had beat me up and raped that 13 year old wolf that they changed me. Hope that guy gets time in here for raping her, and most likely anyone he has raped before.

Jared Amerour.

He is a vampire, older than me but not by much. Tall, muscular, dark haired and amber eyes to match his strong features. His facial expressions remind me of Corbin a lot.

I’ve told Jared about Corbin. He thinks Corbin is a dick, and I couldn’t help but laugh. Dick was an understatement.

My most recent conversation with Jared was actually pretty funny looking back;

“Ams, why exactly are you in here? I mean you told me about how Dickhead traded you in, but I never got to read you’re file…”

Jared’s face scrunched up slightly in a confused expression. His gaze focusing on the floor as if it had the answers.

I sighed and began picking at my nails. My head down as I began to mumble out the nonsense I was accused off.

By the end of it I had Jared sitting shocked and by the looks of things, confused. Again.

“But you say you done none of that?”

His voice laced with confusion almost as much as his expression. I nodded, keeping my eyes on his at all times. The main way to tell if they are lying is if they break eye contact, and ovbiosly he knew this as he made sure not to blink as I nodded.

He nodded,  I think more to himself than me before standing up and walking to my cell door.

Locking it as he left he didn’t spare me a second glance as he walked off, his strides big as if he were on a mission. Slightly scared at what his mission might be I nodded and shouted after him.

“Yeah, bye, so nice speaking to you!”

Rolling my eye after I lay back on my bed with one of my legs propped up over the other and my hands wound themselves in the hair at the back of my head.

I wonder what Fino is doing the now probably asleep. Laughing out loud I shook my head.

I really do wonder if Corbin ever regrets what he done. Maybe he never wanted a vampire as a mate. I wouldn’t blame him either.

But I am sort of glad I did find my mate before I died, I mean I found true love, which then sentenced me to my death? What more could I want? Note the sarcasm.

Closing my eyes, I sat and listened to the noises around me.

The way I could hear them in the interrogation room with a new inmate. The sounds of the guards on their lunch break or some sort of break in the coffee room. The insane inmates banging on their cell walls or shouting god knows what at the guards.

I blocked all of this noise and just listened in for Fino.

I listened to the silence of the world around me as everything seemed to slow down.

Time ticked by with the seconds at the same speed, but everything seemed slow. The noises around me quietened to a low hum barely able to hear.

Squeezing my eyes shut tighter I dug my nails into my head as the low hum became louder, and higher pitched.

In the small amount of seconds it had become too loud and the pitch it was in was unbearable for the ears. I clamped my hands over my ears tightly. Rolling back and forward as I did, I have no idea how it would help but it seemed right.

And then it stopped.

Just ceased.

Opening my eyes, everything was back to normal. The time, the sounds.

I looked up to see Jared standing there staring down at me with worried eyes.

“What?” I said fiercely, hoping he would understand that I wasn’t in the mood for company.

“You have a visitor” His tone said it all. It was deathly low and it scared me to think of who this might be.

“Who?”

Jared sighed and rubbed the back of his neck as his gaze shifted to the floor. He changed weight from his left foot to his right foot before continuing.

“You have two;

A guy named Serafino who claims he is you’re protector”-from the look on Jared’s face I could tell he already didn’t believe Fino-“ And;

You’re mom”
