Hi! I won't be making stories for two weeks because I'm going on vacation for a while. I'm writing this chapter, and then I'll continue Seakit's Abduction, and so on when I get back. (And yes, I did change my username)                                           Bye!

Snow crunched beneath Skyleaf's paws as she lead Spottedpaw into the forest. Skyleaf was Spottedpaw's mentor now. "Okay, Spottedpaw." Skyleaf began. "Are you ready for your first lesson?" Skyleaf stopped walking and turned to look at Spottedpaw. The young apprentice's eyes were sparkling with excitement. "Yes!" She squealed with happiness, though Skyleaf could see that Spottedpaw was freezing cold. Leaf-bare hit the Clans like a monster. Grasspelt, an Elder, went to StarClan because he froze to death. The old cat thought it was a good idea to go out on his own, when he got stuck in a snow bank. A search patrol found him dead, two sunrises later. Skyleaf padded closer to Spottedpaw. Their pelts touched, creating warmth. Skyleaf wasn't as cold as the other cats. Her gray pelt got thicker and thicker as it got colder, and Skyleaf was greatful for that, but she wasn't completly warm. Skyleaf and Spottedpaw walked through the snow white forest, close together. Spottedpaw was trembling with coldness. Skleaf glanced warily at the skinny cat. "Okay, maybe if we run, we'll warm up!" Skyleaf suggested cheerfully. Spottedpaw nodded slowly. They began to run, not very fast, because the snow was too deep for Spottedpaw, who had very short legs. Skyleaf tried to get to the training hollow as fast as they could, but Spottedpaw was slowing them down. "Faster Spottedpaw! You can do it!" Skyleaf called encouragingly. Skyleaf kept running, detirmined to start the first lesson. Suddenly, Skyleaf heard Spottedpaw start into a bout of coughing. Skyleaf turned quickly to her apprentice, who was was wheezing and hacking. "Oh no... come Spottedpaw, lets go back to camp." Skyleaf coaxed. Spottedpaw shook her head. "No way, I'm not going back after all this way!" Spottedpaw growled. She started to stomp away, but Skyleaf stopped her with her bushy tail. "You could be sick, Spottedpaw," Skyleaf meowed firmly. "We're going back. Now." Skyleaf picked up the tortoiseshell cat in her jaws and began to run back to camp. Spottedpaw huffed in protest. "Hey! I can-" She broke of and began to cough again. Oh no... Skyleaf thought with dread. It sounds like Greencough!                                                                                                When Skyleaf arrived in camp with her angry apprentice, she carried her right to the Medicine Cat den. Whiskertail was in there, mixing herbs. She looked up quickly when Spottedpaw coughed. Whiskertail's green eyes were troubled. Skyleaf felt empathy for the Medicine Cat. Grasspelt was Whiskertail's father, and Skyleaf knew what it was like to have someone taken away from her. "Another one?" Whiskertail sounded annoyed. Spottedpaw flinched at her tone. Whiskertail sighed. "Excuse my additude." She apologized. Skyleaf understood. When Leafclaw died, she was in no mood to socialize. "Let me check her." Whiskertail sniffed at Spottedpaw when Skyleaf set her down. "She started coughing when we were heading to the training hollow." Skyleaf explained. Whiskertail nodded. "Spottedpaw, take a big breath for me." She mewed. Spottedpaw obeyed, opening her small pink mouth. She did a big wheeze, then a wave of coughing seized her. Whiskertail began to massage Spottedpaw's chest. When the apprentice calmed down, Whiskertail padded over to Skyleaf and leaned close to her. "It's Greencough." She whispered, her voice trembling.
