Peter and Ladia walked down the boardwalk near Peter's house.
Ladia was trying to explain what she did as a Guardian, how she helped beings.
Mostly people.
Peter was starting to understand that she wasn't really that much of a freak.
"So you were assigned to me? How am I off my track?"
"Peter you need to realize that I can't tell you anything about your future. Only what I know from your past to a few days in the future from now." Ladia stopped and looked him in the eyes, "I know it's weird. And hard to get why all this is happening to you. I understand."
"No, Ladia. It's not hard to understand why. You're here to fuck up my life." Peter sat on a bench near a Krazy Koulors T-Shirt Shop, "If you were really going to help, you'd tell me what goes wrong in my future and why it'll effect me now."
"Dang it. Can you just believe me?" Ladia asked, "I'm trying to help"
"Yeaaaa..." Peter stood, "No."
"Peter can you just please listen?!!" Ladia yelled at him as he started to walk back the way they came.
People stared.
Peter didn't turn around, Ladia ran after him. "Why don't you just freeze me again?" Peter remarked angrily
"Because one, we're in public. And two, I need you to let me help and I doubt that'd be the way."
Peter turned around quickly, facing her. "Listen to me now. And read my lips."
"But..." Ladia began
"I AM NOT LISTENING TO YOU. LEAVE ME ALONE!"
Ladia made a symbol with her hand and placed it on his forehead.
Peter experienced an out of this world experience. He saw his past, present, and future.
Ladia broke a rule.
And it would not be taken lightly.
