"Peter I am so sorry. They chased after me and if I try to help you then, then..."
"Then?"
"They can find you and me and kill us both."
"But don't you regenerate."
"Only with the help of the moonstone. The Guardians control it so I have no clue what I'm doing. But I did take it." Ladia showed Peter the moonstone
"Wow. That's a big gem." Peter whistled
"We need to think this out Peter! I've never broken any of the rules until I helped you!" She worriedly looked out of the big window in Peter's room, "What if they're watching right now?!"
"Ladia, calm down. You're going to pass out."
"I can't calm down!! Guardians who break the rules die!! They're killed!! I don't want to die! I love my job!! I actually would rather have my memory erased and keep working on my job then die." She pondered over it, "Maybe I can apologize. We both can have our memories erased. Maybe just maybe it would work..."
Peter looked at her, mad and in disbelief, "You think that I would get my memory erased just so you can keep your job? All my memories about my parents and friends. About the girl that I like. You think that I would give all those up? Just so you can get your job, the job you screwed up?!"
"Peter." Ladia asked, pained by what he had just stated, "I only told you those things because you wouldn't believe me! And now you're using them against me?!"
Peter stood, "I never asked you to help me!"
"Well, you were my assignment! I never wanted to help you! I wanted to give up on your sorry ass! But I didn't! I stuck with it, even after you choked me and hurt me!" Ladia threw her hands up in exasperation
"Just leave! I'm sick and tired of your freaking out, panicking, and annoying me about your stupid job! Just get a different one. Geez." He turned to start up his computer and she gave him one last look before leaving.
Maybe... Forever.
