Ladia wondered what to do.
Peter had left her.
She was wanted dead or alive. Most likely dead.Deep breaths Ladia. Deep breaths. She thought.
The more she thought about the recent situation, the more she freaked out.
She had the Moon Stone. The Elders' Moon Stone.
"Hey Zaini."
Upon hearing her name, she turned quickly, "Hmm?"
"I can help you."
"Who are you and where are you?" She turned around in a circle, looking for the source of the voice
"You probably don't remember when I was one," The voice spoke sadly, "But, I was one."
"Was what?"
"A Leader."
"What's a Leader?" Ladia asked intrigued
"Things are worse then I thought."
"What do you mean?"
"What do you call those who rule you?"
"Elders. But they do not hold power."
"Who does? Pray tell."
"I cannot speak his name. Not here." She glanced around, "Why are you here?"
"The Moon Stone. It called me out of hiding. A time of peace shall now commence." The owner of the voice stepped out of the shadows, "I was one of the original three. I have been hiding since the Elders took over. They stole the power of the three Leaders and renamed themselves as the New Generation. Secretly they refer to themselves as the Leaders, but everyone who has been there for as long as time knows the difference."
"Oh sir! How did all this happen?!" Ladia asked, shocked at the brief backstory that he had provided
A screeching of metal was heard and the old man quickly glanced up, "Its here again!"
"What's here?!" She tried to look at what he was seeing
"Quickly get inside! Get inside!" He hobbled over to a small hole near the side of a building and motioned for her to come by him. When she did, he pushed her down the hole. And then, with one last look to the sky, and a smile, he went down as well.
