Chapter 10

"Your curse mark." He replied.
I let out a sigh of relief, "Oh that? It's a dud." I said to him.
"Now how is that?" he asked.
"I made it that way. It was easy to deactivate, but the actual mark won't go away until Orochimaru dies." I said.
It really was easy I just did one of my, self created jutsu. But I would never do it on anybody else. The sacrifice was too great.
"How did you do that?" Kakashi asked.
"You do know that Orochimaru is in this room right?" I said trying to change the subject.
Surprise entered his showing eye.
"By the way nice eye." I said.
"umm thanks?" he said.
"I mean the sharingan eye. Or should I say the weak, but still there, Mangekyou sharingan?" I asked smiling evilly.
"How do you..?" he began but I said,
"You might want to watch Sasuke now."

We both turned back towards the fight to see Sasuke recovering from Yokoi's attack. Sasuke was dogeing the attacks but was stumbling while doing it. I smirked as I thought of what Gaara was probably thinking of Sasuke. He had such high expectations of him once he found out he was my twin.
"Hey! Sasuke!" Naruto yelled at the arena angrily, "Come on man! What was that, and you call yourself a Uchiha? Your gonna let this goon walk all over you! Come on stop messing around and get it in gear!" I looked at Naruto.
"I agree." I said simply to him making him and the guy in the green jumpsuit look at me.
Sasuke looked at us, then I saw his eyes trail to the guy in the jumpsuit and his eyes showed that he had gotten an idea.
"I'll teach you to turn your back on me!" Yokoi yelled at him. "Big mistake and your last!"
Sasuke began dodging blow after blow again. Sasuke then smiled and disappeared.
"There it is." I said smiling then thought, 'He's finally decided to join the fight.'

Once he began the move I saw the guy in the jumpsuit gasp, along with an older guy who was dressed in the same manner. I turned towards the jumpsuit guy.
"Yours huh?" He looked up in surprise, "I guess that you did it to him while his sharingan was activated?" I asked while holding out my hand, "I'm Honoka."
He looked up at me and said, "I'm Rock Lee! You are from the sand village correct?"
I sweat dropped and nodded, 'Isn't it obvious?' I asked myself in my head.
The older guy in the jumpsuit said, "I'm sure that you have heard of me if you have heard of Kakashi. I am Gai-sensei!" he said smiling making his teeth gleam while giving me thumbs up.
"Nope, sorry" I said turning back to the fight to see that Sasuke's curse mark was beginning to take over, I gasped again.
"Oh, no." I said under my breath hoping nobody would hear me.

You could see it spreading across his skin but he then seemed to suppress it.
I looked over at Orochimaru who looked concerned. I looked at him and smirked. He glared at me and then turned back to Sasuke.
Sasuke was smirking and said, "Here we go!" as he began attacking Yokoi once more.
He kicked his leg up and Yokoi blocked it.
"Heh you're no match for me!" he said cockily.
But what Yokoi didn't notice was that Sasuke was using the kick to gain momentum to punch his face, which he did. Sasuke then punched him in the stomach and said,
"Come back here! I'm not done yet!" as he swung his leg around to kick him in the gut, straight into the ground.

Sasuke then slid back into the ground grunting in pain. The proctor was looking at them both, waiting for one of them to stand. The proctor bent down next to Yokoi.
"Well this one has had it." He said as Sasuke stood up panting heavily.
I could feel the smile radiating off of Orochimaru.
"I'm declaring this match over." Said the proctor, "As the winner of this preliminary round Sasuke Uchiha advances to the finals." He finished.
Sakura gasped in happiness, while Naruto had an ear-to-ear grin and practically screamed, "WAY TO GO!"
Sasuke began to fall back and Kakashi transported behind him and held him up with his knee, reading what seemed to be a perverted book.
"Hmm not bad!" Kakashi said, "Funny before the 'Lion's Barrage' that technique was very similar to Gai's taijutsu. You must've used your sharingan to copy it, when you fought with RockLee that time."

"You okay!?" Naruto asked then laughed. "Hey Sasuke, you won but in such a uncool way! You came out looking like you were the one who got beat up."
"Idiot, give me a break you little... oh well" Sasuke said looking over at Naruto.
Everybody seemed to be looking at Sasuke intently, I sighed. Gaara was twitching, 'In bloodlust already! Shit!' I said my head, with my eyebrows being pulled together. Some people seemed to be talking about the fight. I looked back up at Orochimaru who seemed to be trembling in joy. The medical ninja took Yokoi away and one tried to take Sasuke to the infirmary.
"I think you're out of your league on this one. I'll look after him." said Kakashi.
"Okay, up you go! You're coming with me." He bent down and whispered, "We've got to seal that curse mark."
Sasuke and Kakashi walked off, that's when I notice that Orochimaru was following them. 'Kakashi, take good care of my brother.' I thought as I looked back up to the screen seeing Shino Aburame and some guy named Abumi Zaku where up next. Abumi Zaku was also one of Orochimaru's lackies. Shino won that fight with his bugs by clogging the sound holes in Abumi's hands. Everybody seemed amused about the fact that Shino was one of the 'bug tamers'. The other two sound ninja where talking about how Shino had beaten Zaku.

The next battle was Kankuro and Tsurugi Misumi. I walked up the stairs to my team as Kankuro walked down them.
"Good luck..." I said.
"Hmm, thanks I guess." He replied.
I smiled at him and continued walking up the stairs. During his fight Kankuro used his puppet to escape Tsurugi's attacks. So in the end he won. I smiled at the fact that it was so easy for him to win as I stood next to Gaara. I smiled over at him. He looked over to me; you could see that he was in bloodlust. I reached out and held his hand.
"Do you want me to do the jutsu?" I whispered to him squeezing his hand comfortingly.
"It's not worth the risk." He replied gripping my hand harder.
I could see that it pained him to say it so steadily. I looked over to Temari nervously and she looked back in the same way, but then she looked down at our hands and smiled. I didn't bother looking over at Baki, I knew that he would've already seen it if he was even a slightly good jounin.

We looked up at the screen as Kankuro returned to his spot beside us. As it stopped I smiled, the screen read, Hayate Kouki vs. Honoka. It didn't say my last name because the Kazekage wanted the sand village to remain secretive.
Once I reached the stairs I heard Kankuro say "Good luck Honoka." Under his breath.
I smirked as I reached the bottom, ready to fight with another one of Orochimaru's secret followers.
