As Gaara was descending the stairs I was sitting in the stands looking down on my brother. I really didn't know how I felt about this. I knew that Gaara would go all out, and that meant the Sasuke may get hurt, or worse, die. But then again I don't know the extent of his training over the last month. I mean he was training very hard and effectively when I left the first day and that was only the first day. Not to mention that if they were this late there must be a reason. Looking at Sasuke's new look and longer hair, it just seemed like he was stronger. I could sense that his chakra reserves had been tapped into, meaning that maybe he could hold his own. But to what extent would Gaara go to in order to beat my brother? Much like my feelings in terms of the attack on Konoha, I was split down the middle.
I sighed heavily as Temari took her place beside myself and Kankuro once more. After Gaara had left I moved myself closer to Kankuro again. He had attempted to get me to talk about what Gaara said to me but I would not tell him. I continued to look ahead as my troubled thoughts racked around my head.
"Hey, you okay?" I heard Temari ask after she placed a hand on my arm.
I looked at her, "Yeah, why?"
"Honoka, I've been asking you that for the past minute, and you didn't answer me." she said concerned.
"Oh, I'm just caught up in my thoughts is all." I said while she removed her hand.
"C'mon Honoka it's obvious that you're sick. I mean sure your cheeks aren't red anymore but you are obviously distracted." he said snidely.
"Shut it Cat-ears." I said while turning away from them.

Next thing I knew I was being dragged off to the side, yet again, but this time by Temari.
"What does he mean you're feeling sick? This is not a good day to be sick Honoka! You need to be careful!" she said while going for my temperature.
I hit her hand away, "God! Would you siblings stop trying to feel my temperature?! I'm fine! I'm just worried about the 'you-know-what' and the fight between my brother and Gaara. I mean after all, the only justification Kankuro has for thinking I'm sick is because of my blushing, and that was only because..." I stopped before I could continue, realizing what I was about to say.
I mean sure I may have accepted it, in my mind. But I mean, no, I haven't come to terms with this whole 'liking Gaara' thing. Especially not enough to say it out loud.
-Why not Honoka? It's obvious.- Bakeneko said, but once again I ignored her.
"Because....?" Temari prompted.
"It's nothing." I said while subconsciously rubbing the hand that Gaara had held.
"Does it have something to do with your brother?"
"What, pfft, no." I said.
"My brother?" She asked with a meddling tone in her voice.
"No, why would I worry about Kanuk-"
"I meant Gaara." she said cutting me off.
I felt fire cross my face as I got flustered, "No." I replied quietly.
"Oh my GOSH! What did you guys do?!" She said excitedly.
"N-n0thing! We just held hands, that's all." I said unable to meet her eye.
"You held his hand! Oh my gosh! I am so excited! I never thought this day would come!" She said obviously not meaning to tease me, but still it got on my nerves.
As she continued to freak out and try to get more information out of me, I finally noticed that Gaara and Sasuke's fight had begun.
I needed to get her off this topic. Like now.
"Oh yeah, and what about you? Almost losing to your soon-to-be boyfriend?"
Now it was her turn to get flustered, "Oh please, I could have beat him."
She had now obviously forgotten her previous excitement in her embarrassment.

We both walked back to the railing on the stands as we dropped the topics. It was time to get our game-faces on. After all the fight had begun, meaning that the attack was going to initiate soon.
As I looked around at the people who disgusted me for the bets they placed on these battles, looked at the leaf ninja who had welcomed me despite who I was and what I done, and looked at the sand ninja who had welcomed me into my family with open arms I had made my decision.

I knew what side I was on for this invasion.
