Hello? This on? How do we check? (Shut it, Chase, I'm working on it.) I think it's working. Guess we'll have to check later. (Yea, me too. I really hope it is working.)
Anyway, my names Kayla Strike. My brother is Chase Strike, pretty annoying guy. And now Chase is shoving me, telling me to get on with the story. (I was just saying the truth, Chase.) But I suppose that is why you're here, to read an interesting story. Well, trust me, we've got that covered without trying. Let's begin.
I jumped as the announcements were made, "Kayla and Chase Strike please come to the principal's office. Kayla and Chase Strike to the principal's office."
I shared a look with Chase before slowly getting up. What did we do this time? Chase beat me through the door, as I took my time, knowing he was going to ask questions. Being the smartest one wasn't always the best thing (yea, I get it Chase, your the actual smart one).
Closing the door I looked to my right and saw my brother, just as expected, with his arms crossed leaning against the lockers. "What's going on?"
My green eyes locked with his blue ones. "That's a good question. Let's go find out." I started walking, Chase following behind.
Someone hugged me from behind. At first I thought it was Chase but saw pink tipped hair right after that thought and knew it was my friend, Brianna. When she let go she smiled at me, tears lacing her eyes, ruining the happy feeling she tried to give off. "I heard your name, just wanted a hug."
I hugged her again, this time she couldn't hold the tears in. She sobbed into my shoulder, as we pulled apart. "What's wrong?"
She looked at me. "Nothing. You remind me of joy, of how it feels to be loved. Why I need to stay here, in this world. Why I can't leave. For people like you who care." Brianna paused. "You're the main reason i'm still here." She pulled me in for another hug, before pushing away and leaving. Sniffles no longer coming from her, and just a little skip in her step.
"What just happened?" Chase asked.
I looked at him and shrugged. "Your guess is as good as mine. Shall we continue?" The two of us started walking again, almost to the office.
When Chase and I entered the principle stood at his door, staring at us, almost into our souls. "You finally showed up," he said cooly.
"We had a little delay, your..." I caught myself from saying highness, "principal, sir."
He scowled, a frown on his features. But then again, there normally is a frown, he's not really happy. "My office, now." Then the principle stomped off leaving Chase and I no choice but to follow.
Chase and I sat down before my dumb brother asked a dumb question, "What's that smell?"
The principle turned on my brother, a cold glare digging into him, "That, Mr.Strike, happens to be my favorite cologne."
Chase laughed nervously. I sighed, taking the attention from Chase and putting it on me. "Why did you call us here?"
The principal sat, gesturing for us to do the same. "I called you here for this." The door closed suddenly, making both Chase and I jump, our heads turning to the door. I slowly looked back, my stomach churning. "You two cause a lot of trouble, you know that?"
"Yea, we try to behave but it's hard sometimes," I said, trying to sound calm and collected. Chase just nodded, obviously still shaken by the doors sudden movement.
The principal nodded, jotting notes down. When he looked up I saw a flash of red in his eyes before they turned blue again. Blue? But he doesn't have blue eyes, he has brown eyes. Features i've never seen before started showing, his skin started turning black, almost like the night sky without stars. His hair started changing to a light blue, like the hottest part of a fire. His eyes changed into red fully, a blue fire racing in them. He didn't seem bothered by it.
