I scowled at a grinning Drew Fisher who was standing in front of me.

"I suppose you are here to irritate me?" , I spat.
"Not really. I came here for my shift. I didn't know you were working here too.", he grinned.

As if.

My mouth dropped open.
As if bearing him at school was not enough, I have to spend time seeing his irritating face here too.

He laughed and pushed my chin back in its place before heading into the kitchen.

I saw Martha hug Drew and smile at him before getting back to work.

I angrily untied my apron and and threw it on the counter before going to the washroom to wash my face.

I let the cold water run over my face before grabbing a tissue and wiping it.

I looked at my face in the mirror. The bruises were almost gone.

I went back to the kitchen and grabbed a clean apron from one of the shelves before preparing myself to make another pizza.

Drew was not around thankfully. He was probably serving the customers. I prepared the dough and molded it. This time, the shape was somewhat similar to that of a circle.

Martha rushed into the kitchen.
"Four pizzas. One pasta." , she said hurriedly.

I nodded as I molded some more dough.
They were closer to perfection this time.
Martha rushed out of the kitchen to take more orders.

I hummed to myself as I spread the pizza sauce on the pizzas.

After I was done, I grabbed some cheese and grated it on the pizza.

I took the vegetable knife from the shelf and some onions, capsicums and tomatoes from the fridge.

"Need any help?", a deep voice whispered in my ear, sending a shiver down my spine. Thankfully, I did not end up cutting my finger into two.

The sneaky pig!

Realizing who it was, I quickly shoved him off of me using my elbows.

I glared at him as he laughed and made his way towards the exit.

"See ya later." , he said and winked before taking some packaged pasta bowls from the counter and going out.

I sighed and continued chopping the vegetables.
Once I was done, I put the pizza in the oven and waited for the delicious smell of the pizza to waft through the room.

Soon enough, the microwave pinged and out came a delicious piece of pizza. I took it out and put my second pizza in it.

Resisting my urge to gobble it up right there, I picked it up and made my way to the tables.

After I came back, I saw Martha waiting for me at the counter.
"Hey Martha. Need anything?" , I asked.
"No not really. The customers love the food. I was just wondering if you could handle the shop on saturday. I'll be out of town on saturday but I'll be back by sunday. I'll pay you extra for it this week. Is that ok?" , Martha replied.

I nodded and smiled at her.

She lovingly stroked my head.
"That's my girl. Oh! And yes! Don't worry! You won't be alone." , Martha said.
"What do you mean?" , I asked, lifting an eyebrow.

"Drew will be here to give you company."

I gulped and nodded but inside I was screaming at her.

HOW COULD SHE DO THIS TO ME?!!

I hugged myself as I walked on the road. It was really cold. I looked at my watch and saw that it was half past seven.
