lauren decided she was going to do it.
she stepped closer to the rusty white hollywood sign. she took a deep breath and was about to jump when she heard an ear piercing scream.

"lauren!" emily cried out.
"please don't do it." she breathed.

"why not?" lauren asked.
"I don't want you to die!" emily yelled again.
"emily, tell everyone that i said sorry."

lauren didn't just wanna jump because she was curious she was also depressed. she was severely bullied but never said anything about it. only emily knew. this was also a way to end it all.

"please" emily sobbed.
"bye emily, i love you." that was the last thing she said before steadying herself on the cliff.

she took her last breath, and tried to ignore the screams and yells, and sobs of emily. she jumped down.

the wind blew against her skin, and she smiled. this was amazing. she was falling and falling. she couldn't contain her emotions.

she finally reached the ground with a thud and instantly felt blood pouring on her face. she put her finger on her forehead and it was red. a dark maroon red.

but that didn't matter to lauren.
all she wanted was to see what was down here. she didn't just jump for no reason either.

she took a look around and she saw:
bushes,trees, grass, animals, dirt, and a little hill.

she couldn't believe it. she risked her life just to find this crap. also, she was bummed because the fall didn't kill her.

before she could shed out a tear a warm hand pressed against her back.
"what?" she turned her head and saw him.

a boy, around her age.
black wavy hair, and brown eyes.
his smile made her mood 300 times better.

"who are you?" she asked.
"i'm calum."
"why are you here?"
"i wanted to see what was at the bottom too." he sighed.

without thinking she pressed her head against his shoulder and his arm was wrapped around her torso.

there they sat, two teenagers at the bottom of a hill, sitting on a rock, because curiosity had gotten the best of them.
