You were walking out on Route 120, just outside Fortree City. It was raining slightly, causing a few drops to periodically fall on you. The moonlight was touching your skin, and shining on the land. You felt calm as you walked throughout the night. You had been out longer than you had thought. Your stomach growled as punishment for skipping lunch. Luckily, you saw a few banana's growing on a tree, and they looked ripe as well. As you reached out to grab one of them, the tree suddenly swung back and let out a large roar. You fell back as a Tropius stomped on the ground in front of you, almost crushing your legs. Thankfully, you pulled them back before it could come down.

"Yikes!" The Tropius continued to stomp at you, and you continued to push yourself back each time. As you continued to push yourself back on the ground, your back came in contact with a stump of a cut down tree. You looked back and saw the stump. The Tropius came down for another stomp, this time, you rolled to the side. You continued to roll, not stopping to let that Tropius get a chance to stomp on you again. You again came to another sudden stop as your body came in contact with something. As you looked up to see what, your eyes were spinning inside your head. You thought you could pick out two red eyes looking at you. You saw the two eyes look up, then jump over you. You heard something going on concerning two Pokémon. One was definitely the Tropius, but you couldn't make out the second one because of your head spinning. As you picked yourself up, you saw the Tropius flying away. You were panting a little bit, but once you got yourself oriented, you could make out what Pokémon had leaped over you. Its white fur was reflecting off the moonlight. Blue skin, a horn coming from the side of its head, and blue claws. You looked at the Absol as it turned back to you. "T-thank you." You said. The Absol nodded its head, understanding what you said. The Absol just looked at you for a minute, just standing there. You shifted a little bit, but then turned around and started to walk off. "Umm, anyways, thanks." As you walked off, you felt like you weren't alone. You shook off the feeling and quickened your pace a little bit. The feeling didn't go away, but you continued on. Eventually, the feeling became too disturbing, and you finally pivoted around to see if you were being followed. Sure enough, the same Absol was following you.

"Sol!" The Absol let out.

"Why are you following me?" You asked. The Absol continued to stare at you. You took a step back, and the Absol took a step forward. You took a step to the side, and the Absol did likewise. Another step back. Another step to the side. It was mimicking everything you were doing. You brought a foot back, then dashed off towards Fortree City. You could hear the grass shuffling quickly as the noise got closer. You turned around and saw the Absol face to face with you until it crashed into you and pinned you to the ground. You looked at the Absol as it had you on the ground. You tried to get yourself free, but the Absol had its paws on your arms, making it almost impossible to escape. What the heck was wrong with this Absol? First it saved your life, now it's trying to kill you! The Absol watched you squirm as you tried to break free. After a few more seconds, you were out of energy. Dodging the Tropius took a lot more energy out of you than you thought. You weren't going to get away, you knew that. As you laid there, panting, you took a deep breath. "Alright, just get it over with." You said closing your eyes. You waited for the Absol to strike you down. A slash across the neck, a pierce through the heart, anything that would bring your life to an end. It never came though, you opened an eye, curious why it wasn't doing just that. The Absol looked at you, as if studying you. Without warning, the Absol laid down on your chest, then fell asleep. You looked at the Absol more confused than anything. It just went from saving your life, to trying to kill you, to now resting on top of you. You didn't exactly know what to do, but you knew that your parents would be worried if you stayed out too long. Eventually after regaining your courage, you slowly began to push the Absol off you. You would pause every so often as the Absol either growled, or moaned, but it never woke up. After slowly pushing the Absol off your leg and slowly getting up, you made your way back to Fortree City as quietly as possible. A good distance later, you began normal pace. Your parents were probably worried sick. As you came to the entrance of Fortree City, you heard a snap behind you, as well as something coming up behind you quickly. You didn't turn around. You ran through and climbed up the ladder leading to your house. As you reached the top, you looked over the rail and saw the Absol staring directly at you. After catching your breath, it turned around and walked off. What was up with that Absol? It's like it was-

"(Y/n)? Is that you?" Your mother asked. You turned your head towards your home.

"Yeah, it's me." You said. You walked inside and met your mother. She was sitting next to your father as well. Once they saw you, they sighed with a breath of relief.

"Where have you been?" Your mother asked.

"I was about to come out there and look for you myself." Your father said.

"Hold on a second here." You said. "I'll explain," You gave a yawn. "but could it wait till the morning? I'm too tired to explain anything right now." Your parents looked at each other, then nodded. You walked off towards your room, but stopped before you entered in. "Hey Mom, Dad, quick question before I go."

"What is it?" Your dad asked.

"Do you think there'd be a chance I could get a pokéball tomorrow? I'd really want to get a Pokémon." Your parents looked at each other again.

"We'll talk about it in the morning." Your dad replied. You nodded your head groggily, then went into your room. You flopped down on your bed, not bothering to cover yourself up in the blankets, and fell asleep.
