Darius was behind me pulling at my arm. I looked down at his arm annoyed. His eyes held a pleading look.
"How long are you going to pretend that Lana doesn't exist. Or better yet how long are you willing to pretend that you can act however and we'll all be fine with it." I shot out coldly.
Darius released my arm unable to say anything to defend himself. Julia came up behind him smirking. She laced her arms around him again and I glared at him. Cho was silent throughout it all. It seems he was trying to hide the fact that she hurt him and was still managing to do it again.
Julia smiled at Cho.
"You mean nothing to her. Why can't you see that?" She said attempting a step forward.
"And I mean something to you?" He said looking down at our hands intertwined.
"At least I was honest with you." She said with a hurt look in her eyes.
Darius tightened his jaw as Julia spoke. His hands were clenched. I looked at him seeing something I don't ever recall seeing in my brother. I couldn't really comprehend this feeling he was expressing.
Julia took a step back and looked at Darius who was now looking to the marble tiled floor. She pulled on his sleeve and he looked up smiling stiffly. I watched as she strutted away with my brother on her arm. Angela soon appeared by their side. She held a small black cellphone in her hand. She looked around before she handed it over to Julia. I narrowed my eyes at them confused. What exactly were they hiding? What was Darius doing in the middle of it.
Cho squeezed my hand bringing me out of my head. He grinned. Any sense of pain had completely vanished from his face. I pulled my hand away from him, but he interlocked our fingers.
I looked around hoping noone was watching us. I could see cameras around the necks of some reporters. Apparently some were allowed into the event. Their eyes looked like they were eager to find a story or make up one. Thankfully they weren't paying attention to us yet. I looked at Cho pulling my arm away.
"I don't have time for this." I said resisting him, "Can't you see something is going on with Julia and Darius."
"Your brother is a big boy." He said leaning into my neck, "I'm positive he can handle himself against Julia."
As he said her name his face tightened and I pushed myself away from him fully annoyed now. He was using me as a scapegoat to free himself from his thoughts of her.
"I'm not your toy Cho! I actually care about other things and people." I said walking away from him.
"Why don't you just fall for me Pavan." He said ignoring my temper.
I turned to look at him.
"Not everybody finds you appetizing." Ko said appearing beside me.
I reached for his arm finding comfort there. Cho's smile disappeared and his glare was in full swing. He put his hands in his pocket and looked at my hands around Ko's arm.
"Why is it so easy for you to go to him?" He said hurt, "He lied to you too, but because I choose to pursue you I'm the bad guy."
"I never said that." I replied looking down.
