My eyes never removed themselves from the pink sticky note that held the address of the support group that I would be attending tonight. Only two days had passed since my meeting with Doctor Rafferdy and three since I last saw Christian. Although that was going to be changing because my father thought it'd be a great idea to invite Christian and Rachael over for dinner. "Honey, don't stress over this dinner a lot of people have breakdowns especially those who've been through a lot. Christian won't treat you any different because of that day." My dad always had a way of putting my mind at ease but there was more to it than just what Christian thought about me.

It would have been a lie if I said that I wasn't worried about what Christian thought about me, especially after that day where my memories took over my mind. But, it was the thought of Christian being the cause of those memories to arise that really made me want to crawl under the covers and skip this dinner. "Emma, I almost forgot to tell you that I won't be able to drive you to the support group today, but Christian has offered to take you."

"Anything else I should know?" I asked making sure that he heard the annoyance in my voice.

"Emma, I know that you aren't a big fan of Christian but he's really trying to be there for you and I think that you should let him help."

Oh great, he sounds like Doctor Raffidy now, I just raised my eyebrows in response and moved away from the table that I was sitting at. "I'm going to go get dressed so that I'm ready by the time they come and then right after dinner I can head over to the support group without having to change." I wasn't worried about the support group because I actually enjoyed them, it helped me out a lot after the incident with Leo.

It was always a struggle to fight through the thoughts that were going on in my head at the time, but it felt good to have people like Carmen that felt the same way and understood what I was going through and how hard it was to look at yourself in the mirror and want to live.

Knowing you weren't the only one somehow made you feel at peace as if the world wasn't just against you.
