Boo
---
The talk with Mike and Celia still buzzed through her mind, blurring the words together, few standing out.The fact that girls could like girls in the monster world was bizarre to her, she didn't even know if she could here on earth.
In continuation to that, her talk with Lilo yesterday. Yeah, she said she wanted to be friends with Lilo, but she was starting to think it was more than that. Way more than that.
The Prospect of aliens fascinated her, and after finding out that's what Stitch was, wanted to give a big 'I told you so' to the world.
It wasn't a huge shock, but amazing enough.
Lilo had been much more fascinated by her monsters. And the physics behind them, not that she could tell her much. The sole explanation was magic.
From this the thought of the story... the note. So perfectly placed, Boo had not realized how soft Lilo's skin was or how calm she looked when asleep.
Just the thought made her smile, but sure Lilo was nice enough ONE time, there was no was she liked her back.
No freaking way.
Besides, she couldn't think about that now, it was nearing Christmas break and her phone was playing it's 'Hakuna Matata' ringtone with her mother's face on the screen.
"Well?" Her mother asked. "Do you know how long you took to answer your phone? I can't believe you child. I ought to give you a beating."
Boo breathed in and out as calmly as possible. "What did you call for?"
Her mother snorted. "When are you getting your fat ass down her for Christmas?"
Her mother was drunk, there wasn't a question about it anymore.
"I'm not?" The question was more along the lines of how much of Boo's patience was she willing to spend.
Her mother growled. "You need my money, admit it. Your my daughter you have to."
Boo sighed. She had money, sort of. Mike and Sully AND Celia all work and she uses that to buy most of what she needed in Monstropolis. Everything else she purchased with money earned doing odd jobs.
"I don't need money or to be shown off like a prized pony."
Her mother had begun to snap something back at her but Boo clicked the phone off before she finished.
Why did she even call that lady mother anymore. That was not a title she deserved. As such she went into her contacts, finding where it said 'mother' and changed the entry to her real name.
She was just tossing the purple encased phone on the bed when Nani slipped into her room and onto the corner of her bed. "So we meet again." Boo grinned.
Nani mouth tugged upwards. But her eyes shot down, grin gone when her attention was pulled to Boo's singing, buzzing phone.
"Who's that?" She asked, not recognizing the name.
Boo grumbled. "My mother." As she tapped the button for ignore.
"Why'd you do that?"
Curiosity killed the cat. Boo thought.
"She's trying to get me to come for Christmas but-" she realized she had yet to ask for permission to stay over the holidays. "Can I stay for Christmas?"
Nani blinked. "I- I suppose but remember that Ohana means family, and family means that no one get left behind or forgotten."
Boo snorted. " She left me behind first." She looked at Nani expectantly who didn't seem to have anything to say.
"Well I just came in her to see what you holiday plans are but so guess I'll just leave."
As Nani left, Boo could do nothing but softly groan. She hoped she just didn't make Nani cry, she seemed to be getting more and more emotional, and she was only 2 months in.
Boo laid back on her bed thinking about Nani and Celia in comparison to her own mother.
If she could adopt herself to Celia Mike and Kitty she would, but she can't so she won't.
She didn't know how long she was laying there but sometime that afternoon Lilo barged in her room, causing Boo to sit up with a start.
"Listen-" Lilo went on talking about something or another.
But Boo was not, in fact listening. This was because Lilo had just burst into her room wearing nothing but a bikini and Boo had no idea where her brain was suppose to be.
The swim suit it's self was pink, lacy, and flowery. Making her look especially Hawaiian.
And completely irresistible.
"- so, do you wanna come surfing with me?"
Boo really really wanted to go but, "I have no clue how to surf."
Lilo grinned that crooked smile that Boo adorned and stretched out her arm. "Do you trust me?"
Boo giggled, taking it allowing the older girl to pull her off of the bed. "Always."
When digging in her underwear drawer for a swimsuit top, however, Boo found a paper, folded up in a perfect square, and set it aside to read later. Thinking 'she got me back'
Short Story - Ali
She looks so perfect outside, standing on her balcony.
Not that anyone knew Ali was watching, but she was so it seemed a shame not to comment on how beautiful her dark hair looked glinting in the moonlight. Or when the wind caught a stray hair, blowing it whispfully.
It's not like she did this a lot. Just often enough to know what time she came out here and how her eyes glinted and-
Okay maybe she did do this kind of often. It has been nearly 2 weeks since they met and she hasn't had the courage to go back to her, not without readapting her cold exterior. Which is why she has taken to admiring in secret from afar.
Well she thought it was in secret until Jasmine turned, for the first time, towards her and looked her right in the eyes. Ali didn't even know whether or not the princess could actually see her but there seemed little choice now.
She closed her eyes lightly as she spoke to Carpet, who pressures her to visit Jasmine every visit. "Go ahead. Slowly!"
Ali approached Jasmine, eyes never leaving her own.
"Do you trust me?" Ali asked.
Jasmine didn't respond but her eyes said yes, as there faces were so close together now that just a few centimeters difference...
