Boo

---

Of  course it would have brought upon madness if they both wanted to play the same games, let alone allow those games be next to each other but as soon as they passed through those doors they were like they had never emerged together.

Lilo, was a rage monster. This wasn't a particularly startling fact for Boo, but was very amusing to watch her shout and kick the wack-a-mole machine.

Boo, just wanted to try anything and everything to win tickets so she could win the giant octopus behind the glass. It was 10, 000 tickets, but somehow didn't seem as hard as it really was to obtain.

They had both been in opposite ends of the arcade with two different goals, don't break a machine and get kicked out and win the most tickets, when Lilo shouted. "Come play this game with me."

She made her way across the arcade, sidestepping games and children, to find Lilo holding a gun. She held up the gun as if to shoot Boo and she laughed, while also admiring how apocolipticly awesome she looked holding it.

The two girls both put in their quarters, Boo picking up the gun awkwardly.

WELCOME TO HERO'S DUTY

The game said in an electronic sounding voice that instantly sent Lilo into a tizzy. "Hero's duty." She laughed. "What kind of name is Hero's duty?"

All through the opening speech Lilo cracked jokes, making Boo laugh almost as hard right next to her. When the game began, she laughed. "Better watch your step in a game called Hero's duty!"

Lilo won, obviously. She got to listen and bask in the honour that was receiving the Hero's metal. Boo promised to get her a real one. Lilo laughed. They parted ways because that's what you do in an arcade. Expecially when you can't waste time not winning tickets.

Later, Boo had wandered back to the Whack-a-mole but that wasn't what had caught her eye. It was something about the girl painted on the side of the racing game next to it that made her want to play. She glanced back to where Lilo was shouting at a ridiculously old Wreck-it-Ralph console. Old to the point where it was retro and cute and made Boo want to wrap it up and take it home to be safe.

She slide into the pink leather seat, sliding her quarters easily into the slot.

SUGAR RUSH

it squealed.

CHEWS YOUR RACER

She looked at the striped screen, looking over the still standing contestants. Her Joystick was over 'Taffyta Muttonfudge' when the racer named Venelope winked at her.

Boo blinked but still, there she was jumping up and down, mouthing the words 'Pick me'. So, in a choice that wasn't entirely her own, she picked the girl in the green sweater.

VANELOPE VON SCHWEETZ

The electronic girl gave her the thumbs up as the screen changed and she was at the starting line.

Boo, it turns out, was not the best racer. This however did not matter for everytime her character choose to glitch to the front of the race, she squealed with delight. She played the game several times, each Venelope jumped and hollered getting her attention. It also never failed for her to wink at the screen when they won. After several races, Boo found she wanted to only pick Venelope anyways, and when they won she couldn't help but wonder whether or not she could jump through the screen to hug her victorious partner.

It was a long time, and a lot of winking until Boo shouted. "Lilo."

In a matter of 52 seconds (She had impatiantly counted, with nothing better to do) Lilo was behind her chair. "You're playing this lame thing?"

"No!" Boo defended the game she had grown fond of over the past few hours. "I mean yes but look." She pointed to the screen.

Lilo cocked a brow, looking back at Boo a second later. "What?"

"Don't you see it?" Boo asked. "She's winking at me! She gives me virtual high fives and blows kisses and smiles and-"

"Are you sure?" Lilo gazed skeptically at the screen.

Boo huffed. "Yes, I'm sure. Then she looked directly at the character in question holding a golden trophy and demanded her to move. "Move. Talk to me. Do something. Blow a kiss something."

Because Boo, it seemed, was the sort of person who thought nothing of talking to an inatimate object. The game on the other hand, didn't seem to hear her, and if it did, did not take orders well. The character seemed to be in an endlass loop of "Yeah!" High five, and disarming smile.

Quickly, Boo grew frusterated but Lilo put her hands on the shoulders. "Chill. Breathe. Did you see how sexily drawn the hero's duty lady is?" She asked, trying to take her mind off of Sugar Rush but Boo only grumbled a response.

"Maybe we should go." Lilo began but before she had a chance to finish her thought, her phone pinged loudly in a tone researved for Nani. She pulled out her phone, face paling.

Now it was Boo's turn to look concerned. "Okay?"

"Lets go." And once again, she was tugging Boo away, only this time she had a grocery bag full of both of their tickets.
