Boo
---
She let the words ring through her head, that gender didn't matter. Love is love. All those little things you hear all the time. She pushed them all out her her mind when her head tilted up, she wanted this. She wanted to want this.

Instead her mothers words took over, the ones of hate and she couldn't but feel like she were breaking some sort of law. As if she were being selfish.

"Of course I trust you." The words coursed through her as she knew them to be true.

She watched as lust filled Lilo's eyes. The warmth wasn't long before turning to stone.

"I kissed the enemy." She murmered.

Boo  smiled, in hopes of fixing the situation. "Like Romeo and Juliet, right?" She tried to recall but pretending to read that book in high school felt so long ago, maybe that was Hamlet?

Some of the warmth returned to Lilo's cheeks. "Right." She sat down on the bed next to her. Boo didn't know what to do with herself. What did boys do with girls? Did that even apply? She already felt overwelmed and frusterated but these weren't new emotions to her.

She pushed them aside and laughed. "Well?" She layed back on her bed, arms stretching out behind her. "We've got a pretty good short story if I do say so myself."

Lilo watched her with ever alert eyes. "We should go tell your family the news."

Knowing she was talking about her monsters, Boo shook her head. "I'll go later."

"But wouldn't you want me to come with you?" The hawaiian insisted.

Boo shook her head once more. "It's fine, I was planning on going there this evening anyways."

Lilo was taken back as to why she denied her access but still had that hint of a smile on her lips. She was completly shutting her down. She kissed her! Still no monsters?

In her silence, the smaller one continued. "You can feel free to go talk to Nani but she had an ultrasound in ten minutes so you'll probably want to wait."

She blinked, eyes still fixated. "How do you know that?'

Boo shrugged in the way one does when they are laying on their back. "I went with her to make the appointment. David was busy, you didn't want to go."

Mouth took an 'O' shape. "She's my sister."

"Yes?" Because she didn't know what she was suppose to do with this information. They were sisters, was she expected to argue this?

"That baby is replacing me." She tried again.

Boo blinked, not understanding how they had gone to magical kiss to Lilo being annoyed and chiding her. "Why are we talking about this?"

Lilo rolled her eyes, frusterated. "Just... can't you just stop being so nice to her about this baby?"

Boo pushed herself up on her elbows. "No, that wouldn't be very nice."

This time a sigh of frusteration. "Can't you just not be so nice all the time?"

Arms wrapped themselves around Lilo's waist and pulled her back onto the bed. "The world would be a terribly dreadful place if we were selfish and grumpy all the time."

Lilo nodded thoughtfully. "Compelling point."

Boo smiled. "I know." It faultered when her closet door shook lightly. Her friends eyes fell to the door as well and whispered.

"You can go."

Boo blinked. She had just had a sort of fit over her going to see them and now she was just going to let her? "What's the catch?"

The door tremored once more as Lilo shook her head. "No catch, but it would be a dreadful sort of world if I stayed grumpy about it. I'll type up our story."

Still skeptical, Boo stood slowly. "You sure?"

"Go."

The door was obviously turned on thanks to its rumblings so she only had to step up to it and pull it open. When on the other side of the door, she pulled it shut, being sure to turn it off. Maybe Lilo wasn't that bad, maybe she was a really good person, maybe she was really great. That didn't mean she was about to leave the door turned on for her to just walz through whenever she pleased.

Mike and Celia were staring at her in mild fear when she looked up at them. That would explain the banging then.

"Against the door? Really guys?"

In attempt to change the subject Celia piped up. "Why? Where you with the Hellion?"

Boo blushed. "Irrrelevent. What matters here is you to and my door."

Mike shrugged. "It's not like we were doing anything bad, Boo. We were just-"

Purple snakes hissed as Celia came close to cover her ears.

"If it wasn't anything bad, why are my ears being covered."

Celia looked at her strictly. "Because you are a child. Much to young for things like kissing."

She snorted earning her the royal glare of the century. "The Hellion!" She remarked swiftly.

A blush coated Boo's cheeks that excused her from any sort of response to the not-quite question.

Snakes hissed and she was busying herself through Mike's kitchen in attempt to poor them each a cup of tea. Seeing her only pour two cups, one for each of the girls, Mike remarked shallowly that he was going out for a drive. Neither female argued or insisted upon his presence.

Celia sat down across from Boo, placing a sugared up tea cup in front of her. "So you and the Hellion?"

The blushing only deepened when Boo nodded causing Celia to demand everything. Not that there was much to tell but this was sort of like Boo's first kiss. No, it was her first kiss.  Decideing to humour her, Boo induged her.

"And you just left?" Celia stood with a start.

The table shuddered with the sudden start. "Well, yeah?"

"Get out!"

"What?" She asked, genuinly confused.

"You just left the Hellion. Get back there!"

Boo blinked. "Oh, right. I guess yeah."

Quietly she turned the door back on, slipping though, knowing Celia would turn in off for her. Now that she though about it though, she didn't doubt that she could leave it on a while for the sole purpose of spying. The corners of her mouth tugged up at the thought.

Looking up from her bedroom floor she saw Lilo, standing there, waiting.

"Hi." She blinked not expecting her to have been waiting.

Lilo's eyes shone bright, well brighter than before. "So I handed in the paper, as in I typed it up and everything and emailed it to her because that's a thing we can do now. It's so weird don't you think? I just got back in here, I mean, I wasn't waiting for you or anything. I was just you knowing coming in to check to see if you were back yet and you are now so how was you visit with your monsters."

Nearly out of breath, Boo cut her off. "It was dandy, talking with my monster mom." That's the first time she has ever used that term but she found that she was already rather fond of it. "Monster mom." She rolled the words off her tongue.

Lilo swallowed nervously. "Wanna go out for supper?"
