|Izuku x Reader| Just Friends

(Your POV)

There he was, laughing and smiling with her. You could only dream of him looking at you the way he looks at her. They were always together. You'd never see them apart. Everyone assumed they were dating, but they never confirmed their relationship. It broke your heart to think that you'll never have a chance with him. You didn't realize you were staring at them until a hand waved in front of your face. "You should probably blink, you'll get dry eye" one of your bestfriends Jirou said with a smirk. My face went red as I realized how long I was in a daze for. "Jirou! don't tease her. Can't you see shes sad!" My other bestfriend Momo scolded Jirou for teasing me.

I looked down at my hands in shame and embarrassment. Momo and Jirou gave eachother concerned looks. "(y/n), If you care about him that much, why don't you just talk to him?" Jirou asked putting a hand on your shoulder. "I can't talk to him now! He already has a girlfriend." I said glancing over at Izuku and Uraraka. Momo sighed. "(y/n), it's just a rumor! They probably aren't in a relationship" She reassured. I looked back down, fiddling with the hem of my shirt. "He clearly likes her, not me" I said quietly. "You won't know unless you talk to him!" Jirou said loudly grabbing the attention of a few students in the classroom, including Izuku and Uraraka.

Jirou went quiet as people were starring. My face went bright red from the attention and I looked over at Izuku to find him looking right at me. Our eyes met for a second but it felt like an eternity. Mr Aizawa walking into the classroom grabbed everyone's attention. Everyone went back to their seats, getting ready for today's class. My face was still warm from the experience and I was distracted by thoughts of Izuku throughout the class.

The bell rang, which meant it was time for lunch. I would usually eat lunch with Jirou and Momo but because it was such a nice day out, I decided to eat lunch outside. Everyone was rushing out the door, eager to get out of the classroom. I told Momo to go on without me and took my bento out of my bag. I thought i was the last person in class, but then I felt someone tap my shoulder. I turned around expecting to kind Jirou, but it was Izuku. My eyes widened slightly when I saw who it was. Izuku gave you a bright smile. "H-hey (y/n), uh who are you eating lunch with?" He asked, stuttering slightly. I just starred for a second, shocked. "uh Hi, uh I-I'm not eating with anyone t-today, I-I'm gonna eat outside" I stuttered out, saying the last part quietly. "Oh ok! Is it alright if I join you?" He asked giving you a cute smile. My heart jumped at the request, I could tell my face was as red as a tomato. "U-uh Yeah s-sure" I stuttered out nervously. My heart was beating so fast. He gave me a closed eye smile that melted my heart. "Great!" He said enthusiastically.

I was walking down the hall with Izuku, heading in the direction where the stairs that led to the roof were. The walk was silent for awhile until Izuku spoke up. "Why were you planning on eating alone? You're usually with Jirou and Momo right?" He asked curiously. "I thought it was a nice day, so i thought it would be nice to just sit and think by myself for a bit" I explaimed, getting a bit less awkward. Izuku's eyes widened. "I-I'm not intruding am I?" He asked in worry. "Oh N-no! It's good to have the company, It's just usually no one sits with me when i sit outside..." I reassured him. He sighed in relief. "good, I wouldn't want to annoy you" He said quietly looking down at his feet. You smiled to yourself. "You could never annoy me" you said quietly, not realizing you said it out loud. "What?" He asked. "N-nothing" I said quickly.

When we got to the roof the sun was shining down on us. It was such a nice day! You walked over to the bench you usually sit at and took a seat, leaving enough space for Izuku. I opened my bento and started eating, Izuku doing the same. It was silent and it was beginning to get awkward, so i was thinking of something to talk about. "So (y/n)..." Thank god he started a conversation. "You did really well in the test last week! You even did better than Kacchan!" He said smiling at you. "T-thanks, you did super well too!" I complimented back, blushing like crazy. "You're probably one of the smartest in 1A"He complimented Smiling at you. I blushed even more. " Izuku stop! you're making me blush" I giggled. "It's true!" He giggled along with me.

We smiled at each other happy in the moment. I looked down at my now empty bento. "You know, i really look up to you Izuku" I suddenly said. Izuku looked slightly shocked at your statement, I was slightly shocked myself because of the new confidence I had. "Your ambition and strength, It's really admirable." I smiled, avoiding eye contact with him. "I hope that one day I can be just like you." I confessed blushing hard. I suddenly felt arms wrap around me. Izuku was hugging me. I thought my heart was about to explode. "Thank you so much (y/n)! That really means a lot coming from you!" He exclaimed still hugging you. You hesitantly wrapped your arms around him and hugged him back.

Izuku pulled back slightly and looked into your eyes. He quickly grabbed the sides of your face and smashed his lips into your. You were completely shocked. You didn't know what to do. 'Should I kiss back?' I thought 'Of course you should kiss back!' Your brain said. So that's what you did. I wrapped my arms around his neck, deepening the kiss. His lips moved in perfect sync with yours in a passion filled kiss. But sadly, oxygen ruined the perfect moment. We pulled away, breathing heavily. "T-that was..." I started. "Great!" Izuku finished. We both giggled and look starred lovingly at each other.

I looked away suddenly, a worried look on my face. Izuku looked at me concerned. "(y/n)? Is something wrong?" He asked, concern laced in his voice. I looked up at him with a worried expression. "I-Izuku are you...A-are you not with Uraraka?" I asked with worry in my eyes. Izuku looked shocked for a second, but then started laughing. Oh god, was he laughing at you!? "Haha, What are you talking about? Me and Uraraka? No way!" He said still laughing. My eyes widened in shock. "Wait really? Y-your not together" I asked in shock. He shook his head. "Nope, Uraraka and I are just friends, anyway she likes Iida!" He covered his mouth realizing he revealed his friends secret. You smiled wide. He giggled and smiled back at you, nervously rubbing the back of his neck. "I've always liked you (y/n)!" He confessed. "Would you maybe wanna-" "Yes!" I covered my mouth in embarrassment. We giggled together and Izuku suddenly hugged me, holding me tight. I smiled and hugged him back, snuggling my face into the crook of his neck.

"I love you"

"I love you too"

I found it kinda hard to write this one because i barely EVER read Izuku x reader fanfics, so I found it harder to write then my other one shots.
