Chapter 9

Steve's POV

I opened my eyes and yawned. I was finally allowed to come home. Natasha was beside me breathing gently, I stared at her beautiful face. I wonderd what she was dreaming of, she looked so peaceful. Then my phone started to ring, Not again, I thought reaching for, it was Clint.

On the phone with Clint:

Steve: Hey man, what's up?

Clint: No time for small talk Cap, Tony says he needs us all to come in NOW.

Steve: Right I'm on my way. What's so important that he needs to talk to us at 7:00 in the morning?

Clint: I don't know just get down here!!
*hangs up*

"Hey Natasha" I said nudging her gently. "What?" she said rubbing her eyes and yawning, wow she looked tied. "We need to go now" I said smiling, "But its 7:00 in the morning, what does Tony need now?" Nat questioned. "I don't know but Clint said it's very important so get up!" I said, "No!" Natasha said teasingly. "Fine I'll have to carry you!" I said teasing too! I knew how much she hated it when I carried her! "You're not moving fast enugh!" I said laughing, "Right I'm carrying!" I stood up and the lifted her fairytale style, "Hey Steve put my down!" Nat giggled. I didn't, "No!" I said mimicking her. "Steven Rogers put me down!"she said still laughing. I did as she said put her down, I looked down at Nat and stared into her enchanting eyes. "I love you" I whispered smiling, "I love you too" Nat whispered back. She leaned in for a kiss but I stopped her, "No you go and get dressed!" I laughed! Nat made a face, "Fine! But then I'm kissing you!" she said smirking. I rolled my eyes, "Ok but we need to go so hurry up!" I said checking the time. "Roger that!" said Nat saluting, I smiled and said "I'll go make breakfast."

Natasha's POV

Steve left to get breakfast and I got dressed. I couldn't stop smiling, I loved Steve. He was so sweet and funny! I wouldn't trade the world for him, in his arms listening to his heart beat. I opened the bedroom door ready to go. "Hey I'm ready!" I said, Steve turned round. "Well hey beautiful! You look stunning!" he smiled handing me my coffee! I smiled, he just told me I looked stunning in an old t-shirt and skinny jeans! I think I love him this much more!

I had a sip of my coffee, its all I needed I'm the morning. "Well let's go!" said Steve excitedly, "Wait, you promised to give me a kiss after I'd gotten dressed!" I said like a young girl wanting an ice cream! "Yeah but we really need to go!" Steve moaned dragging me out of the house and locking the door.

We got on his motorcycle and Steve turned around and kissed me on the cheek, "There you go!" he said smiling so broadly it looked as if his face was about to tear! "Well I'm gonna sneak up on you and kiss you properly!" I said, pretending to be annoyed. "Fine by me!" Steve laughed and we set off for Stark Tower.

Steve's POV

We got off the bike and walked into the building. "Finally!" exclaimed Clint, throwing his hands up in the air and shaking his head! I frowned, "What?!" "Well you guys are kinda late" Clint said pulling a face. "Well Tony doesn't look that angry!" I said, looking at the full grown man that was acting like a giddy school boy! "Umm..Tony are you alright?" Natasha said raising an eyebrow. Tony stared at her, "I'm just very excited!" he said clapping his hands together. "Right, so what did you want to say?" Maria asked impatiently. Tony took a deep breath, "Me and Pepper are getting married!" he said smiling! "Really?! Congratulations!" everyone said in sync. 

We all talked to Tony smiling broadly! I don't know about anyone else but I was incredibly happy for Tony. It ment a lot to him, I could tell. His relationship with Pepper was everything in the world, in his mind anyway. Then I thought about my relationship with Natasha. I smiled some more when I saw her. She was talking with Maria about girl stuff, she seemed so relaxed and happy. Her eyes sparkled with excitement as she laughed with her friend! "Let's go see Pepper!" Maria said, dragging Natasha out of the room! The two girls reached the door and I called, "Hey Nat wait!" Natasha turned around still smiling. I hugged her tightly and she hugged me back. "I love you so much" I said quietly, "More than the whole world!" "Well isn't a great that I feel the same!" laughed Natasha. "Yeah I think that's great!" I said laughing too. I kissed Natasha on the cheek and she said, "Do I still need to sneak up on you or are you gonna let me kiss you now?" Natsha said teasing slightly, "Well not if I kiss you first!" I pressed my lips against hers, it felt magical, this was the best kiss that we had shared! Why? don't ask! Suddenly I felt a lot of eyes staring at me. We hadn't told anyone (With the exception of Sharon who just found out) about our relationship. There was a silence the Maria broke it, "Are you two together?" she said lightly. "Um..yeah" I said still staring at Nat! "This is the best day of my life!" Maria screamed with excitement! "You guys are perfect!" she said again clapping her hands. Maria hugged Nat so tightly that if she hugged her any tighter Nat might stop breathing! Then it was my turn.

There was a sound of heels on a polished floor, everyone turned it was Sharon. She gave me a dirty look and deliberately walked into Natasha. I grabbed her arm and said, "If you're not going to apologize then at least say it sarcastically!" I said, giving her the best fake smile I could muster. "Fine!" she said, "Sorry Natasha!" It seemed as though all the sarcasm in the world was put into those two words. "Actually I want you to say it nicely!" I smirked, still holding her arm painfully. "Ugh god! Sorry Natasha!" Sharon turned to me, "You happy now?!" I raised an eyebrow as if to say 'You insulated my girlfriend, why would I be happy?!'. I let go of her arm and she stopped to the lift, then the doors closed and I turned back to the group. "You really dislike her don't you!" Thor said thoughtfully, "Yeah I do" I sighed. Natasha wove her fingers into mine, "Hey soldier, let's go take on the devil together!" Nat laughed, "Come on then Romanoff!" I laughed too squeezing her hand. It felt so right holding it, I never what to let go.
