Yes, I am back. High school is the definition of torture. *SIGHHHHHH* In any case. Lunar Assassin is back in the work in progress and I'm writing it again!! So expect a chapter to come soon! Also, this book will be updated frequently since this is my brain dump spot! Alright now with this chapter!
I tried writing a short story thing in 10 minutes, and it turned very dark, very quickly. Enjoy!
Letters from MilVille
Dear Henry,
I went to the market again today, everything was so quiet. It's almost as if there were no more people living in MilVille anymore. Understandable, the wolf attacks have been getting worse and worse. Everyone has been terrified and a few, no many, have left with the few belongings they wished to keep. I'm all alone now.
With Love,
Cassandra
Dear Henry,
The fear of losing my life has been getting worse and worse by the day. I am worried I may never see you again. I know I should've left the village with you. But I cannot leave this house. My family has lived in this house for generations. I can't just leave such a large heirloom alone only to be destroyed by some rabid dogs.
Anyway, enough about this dreary place, how are you? Is Todd okay? He was quite upset to leave home. Oh, it's been so long since I've seen the both of you. I can't even remember anymore. Has it really been 5 years? That's right! This is the fifth year of being apart. You left on that Christmas morning, didn't you? I still light the Christmas tree right after Thanksgiving every year! I can't give up family traditions, can I? It keeps a part of you both always with me.
Love
Cassandra
Dear Henry,
Remember that wooden monkey statue that you love? Well when I came outside to close the shutters for an incoming storm today, I found out that its face had been clawed off. Odd right? I sure do hope those aren't the wolves! You told me that this monkey would protect this house from unwanted trouble. I've never believed that. Frankly, I'm kind of relieved. I had a feeling the monkey would invite the trouble instead. Be grateful! If it weren't for whoever did this, I'd be dead! By the way, When are you coming home? It's been a very long time. I'd like to see your face again. And todd!
Sincerely,
Cassandra
Dear Henry,
Oh, Henry! Remember Violetta from Lobster street? Well, somebody, or something, rampaged through her store and tore up everything! She worked so hard building up her doll making company! I can't help but feel horrible for her. There were doll heads, arms, and parts of bodies everywhere. Oh, the horror! She's such a nice girl, why did they have to attack her?!?
Love
Cassandra
Dear Henry,
I really wish we had the courage to take on the wolves. It's been getting even worse out here! The wolves attack every single carriage and destroy every single garden. There might not be enough food to provide for everyone here soon. But don't worry my love, I'll do whatever it takes to survive. To see your face just one more time. Even if it means to kill.
With much love,
Cassandra
Dear Henry,
People are dying Henry. The lack of food and constant fear for our lives is driving everyone here insane. It seems I have taken on a leadership role in our now small populated village. I am quite proud of that if I do say so myself. After all, I am the one who has the most food. And it's all because I had the bright idea last week to build a greenhouse in our home. There are all kinds of plants there. And I know what you're thinking, what did you eat while you waited for them to grow. Oh, Henry! You won't believe this, I'm so resourceful! Remember our servant girl that lives in our house? She hurt herself the other day falling off the roof. She was in so much pain, I decided to end her suffering! She was the most important ingredient to my delicious stew! I know I'm a genius! And all it needed was a small push if you know what I mean.
Your Love,
Cassandra
Dear Henry,
Time is running short. I realized earlier this week, that there were too many mouths to feed in our broken village. And with the wolf attacks getting more and more frequent, we couldn't ask for outside help. Not even a ship could save us in time now. So I have to do what's best for me and the people I care for. You. I have been secretly ordering my most trusted right-hand women, to kill a few of our people in their sleep. That way, I can get more food and have to feed fewer people! Oh, I'm getting smarter by the day! Say, are you proud of me Henry? Oh, you don't have to answer that! I already know you are! I can't wait to see you again! After all, this is all just for you!
Love,
Cassandra
Dear Henry,
I'm kind of worried about you. You haven't written me back, since the last letter. Oh, you wrote the silliest joke!
"You're a monster! Stay away from me, my wife, and son!".
Oh, it makes me laugh even now! You certainly do know how to make a lasting impression on me! How I love you! Stay away from you? I'm your wife! Why would I? And why would you have another? Ha! You're too kind-hearted to be cheating on me!
Since you told me something funny! I'll tell you something exciting that happened to me today, in return! So, my guards and I were patrolling the east side of the town. We were trying to make sure that our barriers we built to fend off the wolves were still intact. Which they were! Also my idea of course! Anyway, that wasn't the only reason we were there. There was a small disagreement between me and one of the villagers. So as the kind-hearted person I am, I decided to relieve her from this wretched world and help her at least be somewhat useful to us, by using her to contribute to our next meal. As we finished severing her body into multiple pieces. We heard an extremely loud and very annoying scream. I had then realized a young village girl that was around 16 years old, had seen what we had been doing here. I was absolutely livid. Young kids these days have no respect for privacy! And if she tells the rest of the town, it could ruin their big surprise! An new kind of soup made from the young kid laying dismembered in front of me was gonna be used in the big feast tomorrow! Personally made by yours truly! So as she ran, we chased after her. She managed to get into town, somehow and started to shout all about it! That's why when we finally caught her. I had to tell the town something to explain this mess.
So I told them that she had gone crazy and that it might be contagious. Aren't I smart? So then the villagers started to agree and tackled her. They tied to her a wooden pole and guess what? They lit her on fire!! It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen!!! Oh, I must go now! I need to finish the delicious stew! Take care, my love!!
Love you,
Cassandra
And that was the last letter from Cassandra Henry ever got. Why? He had heard the news on his old hometown, the next week. That a crazy psychotic lady, his best friend from childhood, killed everyone that was remaining in the village, and then mysteriously disappeared.
