As I quickly pulled the trigger at my ex before the bullet hit him the knife cut my mother's neck so deeply that the moment I laid eyes on her body on the ground...she was dead.

"MOM!" I yelled.

I ran over to her, tears streaming out of my eyes.

"Mom, please," I mumbled.

I was rocking back and forth on my knee's.

"Please come back to me, I'm not ready to lose you," I said crying.

JASON'S POV

As soon as Madison went outside I was about to stop her but then Adam started crying. I ppicked him up from the girls and rocked him he soon stopped crying, and that's when I heard the gun shot. I quickly handed the girls Adam and I ran outside I saw Madison crying with her mother in her arms blood coming out rapidly not stopping. I ran over to her, thinking that Madison was hurt but as I got closer I saw that it was her mother bleeding not her. Her neck was cut till the point where you knew she was dead the minute the knife cut her. I went over to Madison and huged her just not saying anything knowing that, that's not what she needed right now seeing her mom murdered right in front of her face. We stayed like this for an hour I told her I was gonna call teh cops but she didn't want her mom leaving her side.

"Babe we have to," I said softly to her.

"I don't want her to, I need her in my life Jason," she said sobbing even more.

"I know baby, but we need to," I said to her.

She started crying even more but she obeyed. I brought her inside and I called the police and my lawyer. The ambulance took her mother to the hospital so that they could store her somewhere till we got a coffin and a place to place her grave. The police also took her ex to jail since she didn't pay attention to where she was shooting and only nailed his left leg. Maya was also taken to the hospital but she was fine.

MADISON'S POV

I couldn't believe my mom was gone, that I was only able to spend a little time with her. Even if she did do bad things she was still my mom on the other hand I don't give two shits bout my father. Why did life hate me. I was sitting in the room right now looking at the wall with the lights turned off and the blinds closed and the door fully closed leaving me in the darkness, like my heart. It's been only a few hours since the death of my mother and the imprisonment of my ex. And I have not been handling it well. I decided not to have a funeral for my mom, we will be putting her in a coffin but I didn't want other people to come besides close friends family.

"Madi" Jason said peering through the door.

"Yeah," I said softly.

He came in slowly. He came next to me and hugged me.

"I'm so sorry Madi," he said.

"Why does everything bad happen to me," I whispered.

"Life has a funny way of playing the game," Jason muttered.

"We put your mom in the coffin and is now in the ground," Jason said.

"Thanks," I said quietly.

"You need to go to the police station since Jack your ex" girlfriends decided to press charges on you for shooting him in the leg," he said.

I nodded.

"When," I asked.

"Tomorrow morning at 10," he said.
