"How about you stay at focusing Mitchell?", Coach whistled at her and Beca snapped out of her daze. She was still thinking about yesterday's talk with Jesse. She doesn't really think having to be the so called city's superhero is imaginable for her.

She nods furiously at Coach Amy and composed herself back. Playing and dribbling with the ball with her feet. She simply juggles it and kicked it swiftly to the goal where Lily was already frustrated not even catching one of her shots.

They went by like that the whole afternoon. A game was coming next Friday and they were actually thrilled to defeat another team. With the team having excited with Beca playing with them.

The brunette had still been eyeing out her teammates and she sure still receive annoyed glares from Aubrey. She's the only person not happy with her in the group just because she posts her as a "threat" for her Captain-career.

For the casual introduction there's Cynthia Rose, Flo, Jessica and Ashley. Atleast that's the one Beca always seems to put as the important ones. Other members she simply don't think are that important or did she just miss someone? Whatever.

As practice was over she found herself on the pathway towards a Froyo shop near her house. Well she actually decided that for once she could walk like a natural human and not some spider-like swinging maniac.

Well she isn't a maniac but for now she really has a lot going on around her mind. A sigh once again escaped from het lips as she clutched more on her backpack's handles.

From a long ass walk she finally had in her sight the shop and she went for it. Passing some bikers and by passers along the way. As she got there the first thing she noticed was the newspaper posted at the entrance stand.

The headline went all too familiar for her as she grabbed it. "Great. Now i'm on the fucking headlines", the picture that was shown to her by Jesse was not scattering incredibly fast around New York.

"Hey", that familiar voice she missed so much to hear suddenly appears. As she found herself staring at those ocean blue eyes that made her held her breath.

"C-chloe", she gulped and internally slapped herself at having to be that girl who stutters once again.

"You're stuttering once again", she laughed softly and placed her hands on the pocket of her hoodie. Beca had noticed that the ginger was always wearing uppers that are long. "Never heard of it for awhile", she smiled softly.

"Uhm", she cleared her throat and fixed her goddamn self "Yeah you just got me a mini heartattack", a chuckle from her lips and rubbed the back of her head. "For appearing all of a sudden", Chloe giggled at her.

Oh God that giggle, she sounds so cute. Why is this happening to me. Beca had thought to herself and she laughed softly as well. "So", Beca trailed off. "Which flavor did you want?", she said and Chloe looked at her with a face that Beca found it as cute.

"But I can buy my own", she said sarcastically and walked in leaving Beca who laughed at her movements.

She followed the redhead in and immediately grabbed her arm. It only made Beca regret her actions when Chloe winced that she immediately let her go. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to-" Chloe shook her head and smiled back although the brunette could see she was hiding something.

"It's fine. I'm just sensitive. It's stupid", she said shyly and Beca directly held her arms gently and slowly this time.

"It's not Chlo", she whispered and Chloe felt something weird when she heard what Beca called her. "I understand it", she tucked a hair behind Chloe's hair and the girl almost shivered at her soft touch.

"Can I take your order?", the cashier called out and the two girls looked at him.

"We'll take two please", Beca said and looked at Chloe for approval. The girl just laughed and nodded. "Here", she said and gave the payment after receiving their orders.

They had decided to walk with each other home. Beca took it upon herself to ask. "Hey can I ask you a question?", she said slowly and Chloe looked at her after inserting the spoon in her mouth.

"Yeah", she said in a muffled voice because she didn't actually want to spill the yogurt out her mouth.

"Are you not comfortable with your skin?", she asked and Chloe looked at her confused. "I mean why are you always hiding it? I never actually seen you with clothes other than your hoodies", she said and Chloe flinch.

"Oh that", Beca immediately noticed her face fell when she realized what the brunette was asking. "I can't explain it", she said softly and Beca just nodded.

"Okay. It's not like I'm forcing you or anything", Beca said defensively that made Chloe laugh at her expression. She felt comfortable with the brunette. Not like certain people Beca was protective and understanding at many points.

They had talked for some while and they actually had to come to a stop arriving at their street. "Can I walk you to your door?", Beca asked with a cute expression she never actually had before.

"I uhm", she was looking if the lights inside their house was on and hesitated before answering. "Yeah okay", she answered.

Beca noticed how tensed she got just looking at their own door. "Thanks again Beca", Chloe asked and again placed her hand inside her hoodie's pockets. The brunette surely got used to it.

"Yeah that's no problem", she answered  and nodded. "See you at school tomorrow?", she asked and Chloe just turned her head to the side slightly.

"Why? Do you miss me already?", she said and smirked sarcastically at the girl who just raised her one eyebrow and looked up.

"Maybe", she said and shrugged nonchalantly earning a laugh from Chloe. "Yeah maybe I do", Beca added.

"I'll see you at school", Chloe said before going in the door. The smile on Beca's face was plastered as she walked away from the door.

As she went inside her house. She noticed her mom was out of her room and standing in the kitchen. Beca quickly ran to her. "Hey mom", she said softly stopping in front of her.

Beca saw that her eyes was red and puffy, this immediately broke down the brunette's emotions. "Hi sweetie", her voice was in a complete broken state. "How are you holding up?", she said in almost a quiet whisper but Beca sure heard it.

"Trying to move on", Beca said softly and smiled lightly to her mom who just nodded as she drank water from the glass she was holding. "I-i got in the Bellas yesterday mom", she added to lighten up the mood. "They said I had real potential", her mom smiled at her genuinely.

"That's good sweetie. I'm proud of you", her mom rubbed her shoulders and it made Beca sent to tears. "Beca why are you crying?", she asked and Beca just shakes her head looking down to her hands.

"I-i just miss dad", she said as she tried to control her tears by biting her lips. Only it just went worse. Her mother stood up and she was welcomed by a warm and soft embrace.

"I'm sorry", her mom softly stroked her hair and she wrapped her arms around the woman. She never felt so safe in a long time but this was good. Beca always had this feeling when her mom is around, that everything is all gonna be okay.
