"Vilu? What are you doing here? What is this?" I ask coughing.

"Dad's surprise! I'm just here to help!" she says smiling.

Violetta stood in front of me with a handful of ballons in her hand. She passed them over to me and I took them confused.

German nodded at Violetta and she took the boxes of chocolates. I looked at German in panic. He was giving away my chocolate.

German laughed slightly and then took a picnic basket off Violetta. He then reached into Violetta's car and took something out of one of the boxes, placing it into the basket.

I watched confused as they did this silently.

"Done. Thanks Vilu." says German hugging her.

"No problem. See you later." she says as she gets back in her car.

She promptly left and I was still confused.

"Now, I know this was a surprise and you've still got to get back to doing nothing, but you can spend a bit longer with me right?"

I nodded. Despite my confusion, I knew it would be fun.

German and I walked to the park hand in hand and German began to explain. Apparently since Jade had ruined the surprise yesterday, today had to have a huge surprise to make up for that.

We arrived at the park fairly quickly and began to eat. German had the most charming little picnic prepared. It was just adorable and I realised that German had snuck two chocolate trifles from the box into the picnic basket. They were gorgeous!

For a while we just ate and talked. We'd been apart for four years and although I couldn't bring myself to tell him the truth, I was going to ask him about children again.

"Anyway, enough about Olga. I have a new surprise." says German reaching in the basket.

"Jade ruined the other one, so I got a better one." says German with a smile.

He passes a box over and I open it to see a small charm bracelet sitting inside. It has five lovely charms.

One is a treble clef and that instantly makes me think of Violetta.

One is a bar of chocolate and that reminds me of my obession.

One is a cake and that makes me think of Olga.

One is a simple swirl and that reminds me of Ramallo.

Then there is a heart and German springs to mind.

"It's a family charm bracelet." says German, "One Charm for each person."

Not everyone. Valeria.

"It's beautiful German."

"Wait, I missed a charm. Here."

I place my wrist in front of him and German attaches a sixth charm. It's a rabbit teddy.

It's just like the one Valeria has.

"That charm is the answer to your question Angie. I didn't need to think about it when you asked, I knew what my answer would be straight away. My answer is yes."
