I left Geddy in our private townhouse situated in Japan. Being paranoid for my cousin's safety made me take the distance. Geddy was very cool with it. We played in those residences as children, so he probably wants to feel the sense of safety and freedom.
Despite of Geddy's intense convincing to stay with him and forget the mission, I took the next flight to Switzerland. I already gave my report to the new director of NBI, telling him the country itself has nothing to do with a war whatsoever, and that there is only one Tree Demon who's causing all the crises. In the letter, there's a sentence that contains;
"I'm flying to Switzerland."
I did not wait for a mailed reply (We're using secret messenger agents to pass information. No, we're not using pigeons.) and I know no matter how efficient an agent can be, it will take one day to reach me in Japan.
Why didn't I visit the NBI HQ on the way to the airport? Well, we were on a run and I don't want them holding Geddy to interrogate his experiences. First, we have no time, second... Geddy might still be... in a sensitive phase about all of it. I haven't mentioned anyone that he's alive.
Besides, I don't need directives from a superior. I volunteer on this mission whether they like it or not. I especially think this mission is just for me when King Dimito mentioned,
'They broke up, he got madder.'
I want to confirm what's making Araki cause all this, and I am more than eager to know how he is doing it.
Getting out of the airport, I breathed in a foreign air. It took me a hard time to get my passport since Switzerland has strict international laws (being neutral and all), but with a call from my dad, the office gave me my passport within 2 hours. I don't know how that happened.
My dad waves as me as soon as he sees me. I jogged towards him, giving him a nod. "Hello Dad." I greeted him.
"Hello Hans. You don't have any baggage?" He asked, noticing how I only have a small backpack.
"I don't need a lot. If I need personal stuff, I can just buy here." I answered, walking out the airport terminal. He took me to a rented taxi, helping me with my bag.
"Dad, I can handle this." I whined.
"O sorry. You look so thin I thought you couldn't lift the compartment." He teased, rolling his eyes.
"Shut up. I did lotta things. I'm exhausted."
He ordered the taxi driver to take us to a cafe near the apartment he's staying in. The way to his place sure is very European, for the lack of better explanation. Okay, how can I start? The weather is gloomy, some establishments has elaborately-designed pillars, banks are everywhere, blonde people are everywhere, university students look like shit hit by a bus, there's not a single trash on the road, the roads are wide and clean, a lot of people look angry, some people look like they're fighting over a cup of coffee but they're actually just talking, and also there are lots of banks. His apartment is just around the corner, but he said he can't let me in.
We sat inside the cafe. He made me wait in a table to order us coffees, and honestly, I'm deeply offended by how my father treats me like a child. When he placed a - o my god - a cup of warm milk(?) in front of me, I clenched my teeth and told him, "You stop treating me like a child!"
"Well I would if you stop appearing like one." He non-chalantly said, crossing his feet as he sips his hot latte. I noticed some guys looking over us, and when I looked closely, they were actually looking at my father. The man shaved off his usual stubble and voted on putting on contacts. Usually, he looked like a thinner Markiplier with black hair and nerdy eyes. Conversely, everytime he's on mission, he transforms. My dad is not just an agent, he's a raven, a kind of agent who uses sexual interactions to obtain information. He was a raven for a short time during his youth. He stopped doing that when I came into this world, focusing on wholesome NBI works and then became a director. Looking at my dad, though I might be narcissistic to say this because we almost look alike, he actually looks like a Guess model. Like Matt Bomer, just an Asian.
