Araki still has his mission going on. I don't know what he's up to, nor do I know a single hint of his plan, but I'm pretty sure he's teaming up with various scientists to make his plans possible. According to Dad, these people have no idea about a network that puts all the researches together. For example, the Iranian botanist has no idea who's raking up his laboratory results. Mr. Nuclear scientist number one have no idea why he must do series of experiments about the reaction of a certain bacteria to different wavelengths of gamma rays. Mr. Nuclear scientist number 2 must find a way to know the harmless 'effective dose' of a gamma ray at a certain altitude. Ms. Geneticist is teaming up with Mr. hot Iranian botanist to edit genes. Even though they're teaming up, they have completely different set of instructions, for instance, Ms. Geneticist is ough to find if a DNA from completely different genome, like a plant genotype, can find its way to a human DNA and dominate it. Mr. Iranian must know how long can a plant DNA last long in human stomach.
Weird shit, and I can't even form a connection.
Well I can branch up about three main topics out of the sources.
One. DNA editting.
Two. Effects of gamma rays to life.
Three. There's a transportation device there somewhere.
Four. Ms. Neurologists is somehow lost, I don't know how her research enters here. They're somehow far from each other, so I will need more information to piece them altogether.
Whatever his plan is, it's taxing. Why can't he just create a nuclear bomb or maybe a quantum bomb to weird everything out. (You know, the concept of quantum weirdness has been the hardest topic of high school.)
I've been staring at the window this whole time as I compile and conclude whatever his plans are. I can see Araki's reflection from the glass window, and I can also see how he looks at me with a warm smile on his face. He's like looking at a child being ignorant about the world.
"Why are you smiling?" I finally asked, facing his grinning face. He's putting on his suit and tie. It seems he's going to the university again.
"Because you look endearing, thinking about my plans. Why won't you give up and let yourself be surprised, honey?"
"As if! I'm going to find you out before that surprise and stop you! Just watch me!" I fumed, staring at the glass window again.
He chuckled. "Sure. Just to let you know, the door is always open. You can come out and come in anytime. As a spy, you will have to do your job. And so, I'm letting you. Good bye, I'll bring home some chinese take out."
I got so irritated at that time I faced him, I fumed a bit more and threw my indoor slipper at him. He got behind the door, though, so the slipper failed to reach him and hit the door instead.
"I'll be back before 7:00!" He said, his voice trailling away to the hallway.
"Don't come back!" I merely shouted.
Damn that man.
It was hard to think that someone who wanted me all this time would just let me inside an unlocked suite. It's not like I would want that, gosh, I'm an NBI agent and I have been accustomed to criminal minds. I stared at the doornub, seeing its newly-polished glow under the morning light. Above it is another lock, the kind of lock that doesn't have a nub and is only operated by a key card. Conveniently enough, I saw a key card right above the refrigerator. I went to snatch the key card, twisted the nub, and successfully opened the door. It really opened! I can't believe that idiot really left me unlocked!
I went inside our room to change my clothes. I got a pink button up, a pair of rayband sunglasses (which I got from his own stuff), black skinny jeans, and a brown top hat. I stared myself at the mirror quick and realized how I look like an awkward teenage gay with a rich lawyer dad and a celebrity boyfriend. Sometimes, I can't catch up with my own metaphors. I went to find my wallet, but after rummaging my bag, my drawers, his drawers, and the closet (I made quite a mess) I came to a conclusion that he took all the money in this house!
