Forgetfulness

There is surprisingly no one in the kitchen and we sit down on the counter.

"I'll make something." Kai smiles at me and starts cooking. As I look at him, Suho's memories come back to me. How he used to cook for us and how he used to smile at me and joke around.

My eyes fill up but I blink the tears away and concentrate on my boyfriend standing in the kitchen.

A new wave of tears come out of my eyes as I think of Suho. I try to quickly wipe them away.

"Why are you crying?" Kai's kind voice suddenly asks me. I wipe away my tears and my vision becomes less blurry.

"Suho used to cook for us too. I am sorry. I am ruining the mood." I say.

"Don't hold it back! Cry as much as you want, Y/N." He says. He hugs me and kisses my forehead.

I cry into his apron and hug him back. We stand in complete silence for a little while.

"Wait, the food is ready. I'll come right now." Kai tells me and walks to the kitchen.

He soon puts the porridge in two bowls and brings them to the counter. He smiles at me as he sits down next to me.

We eat our food in a comfortable silence. The food is delicious.

"It's delicious." I say as I take the dishes to the sink after we finish.

He blushes and looks down. I wash the dishes and then we go to my room.

On the way, Tae comes in from the front door and calls me.

"I just want to talk for sometime. I'll return her soon, Kai." She jokes and takes me away to the living room.

Kai goes to my room. Tae's face is literally spilt in half because of her wide smile.

"So .... tell me everything!" She says. I tell her till the part where we first kissed. The rest is obviously not something I want to talking to someone else about.

"Awww. That's adorable. Let me switch to mom mode for a second. You used protection, didn't you?" Tae jests.

My smile becomes a plastic one. I just remembered something really really important. "Kai will be waiting. I'll go now." I tell her quickly and run to my room.

"Kai .." I say breathlessly as I lock my door.

"Yeah?" My boyfriend looks up from the textbook he was reading.

"We forgot something really important." I say as I walk over to him quickly. I close the text.

"What's that?" He smiles at me, keeping his hands on my waist.

"We forgot to use protection." I say, my voice shaking with fear.

Kai's face suddenly becomes blank. "Oh fu...." He says. "Oh no! Oh no! Oh no!" He stands up and starts pacing back and forth.

His hands run through his smooth hair and his eyes show fear. "What do we do?" He asks no one in particular.

"We should probably go get a pregnancy test today." Kai says, more to himself than me. "We should go to the doctor to be sure. I am so so so so so sorry, babe." He walks to me and hugs me.

"I can't believe I was so careless with you." He says. "That too two times. How could I be so careless?"

"It's Okay. Don't blame yourself. I forgot about it too, babe. Kai, it's alright. Let's hope nothing bad happens." I quickly tell him patting his head.

"But I was so stupid." He says. He breaks our embrace and walks to the wall. He punches it with a lot of strength.

I run to him and grab his hand. "Don't do that. You will hurt yourself." I say, patting his hand.

"I am sorry, Y/N, please don't hate me." Kai says. He looks really sad and miserable.

"I can't hate you even I wanted to. I love you too much." I reply with a kiss on his cheek.

"I'll go get the test and book the hospital check up." Kai says quickly.

"Okay. Shall I come with you?" I ask, holding his hand.

"No. You stay here. You must be exhausted." He replies and takes his car keys from the table and rushes out.

I look at him as he almost runs out. I am so lucky to have him as my boyfriend, he is so loving. I just hope their is no baby in me.

I am not ready for a baby. Neither is he. I really hope luck is one our side.

I take the dirty sheets off my bed and take them to the laundry room and put them in the washing machine.

Hmmm. I don't know what to say except that I love you. 😉
