Party night

After Kai heads home, I call Tae and tell her about the amazing time I had.

Tae and I talk a lot about different things and then I settle down to study. I study till eleven o'clock and then go to sleep.

The next two weeks go by quickly. Kai and I spend a lot of time together. We went on three other dates to various places.

Tae and Baekhyun too are happy together and are going out often.

It is Friday evening and Tae and I are getting ready to go to Lay's party.

"You think this will look good on me?" Tae asks, holding a holographic loose silver gray shirt.

"Yes. Yes. Yes. Here, pair it with these pants." I hand her a pair of black pants with silver studs.

"This is perfect." She says. "What about you? What are you going to wear?" She asks.

"What do you think of this dress?" I ask holding out a red dress. It reached my knees and is off shoulders.

"Wear those fishnets too!" She grabs her fishnets from her closet.

"Yes. I'll wear those. Thank you!" I say. We both get ready in our outfits.

Tae wears a pair of Spice girls heel converse and I wear black wedges. We put on minimum makeup, curtesy of my mom's company.

"Damn! We look fine." Tae says as we look at the mirror before stepping out.

We get into her car. "This is going to be an awesome night. I really needed this break from all that studying." I say.

Tae agrees. We listen to some songs on the way and reach the venue of the party in no time.

We walk into the buzzing place. It's a huge fancy house. We get in and head to the drinks section.

"Are you drinking tonight?" Tae asks.

"Maybe. Not now though. You?" I say.

"I am going to skip the drinks. Someone has to drive us home." She laughs. "You're a light drinker. You'll get drunk with just one drink."

"That's true. Let's dance! I can't wait to let loose and enjoy the night." I say, jumping around and pulling her to the dance floor.

We dance around for sometime.

"Hey Y/N!" Kai suddenly comes out of nowhere and gives me a back hug.

I turn around and hug him. "Hey Kai! Finally, you're here." I smile at him.

"I'll leave you two alone." Tae says and gives us a knowing smile.

I wave at her as she heads to her classmates to talk.

I turn back to Kai, who surprises me with a peck on my lips. His nose touches mine. "You look beautiful." He whispers.

"You look breathtaking as well, Kai." I say, smiling.

"Want to grab a drink?" He asks after sometime of dancing around.

I nod and we head to to the drinks counter. He gives me a beer bottle. We say cheers and gulp down the drinks.

"Looks like someone is calling me. I'll come back soon." He leaves so soon that I don't get time to react.

I shrug and take another drink. I don't even know what I am drinking.

I suddenly switch to my drunk self. My walk is already slightly wobbly. I don't want anyone to see me like this so I head to the second floor of the house, slowly.

I head into the first room to my right and sit on the bed. I sit there for sometime, water in my hand. I slowly finish the water bottle in hand.

Someone busts into the room. Since my vision is slightly blurry I can't see who it is.

"Hey Y/N! Why are you drinking water? Here, drink this. It's much better." The person hands me a medium sized bottle of some drink and a small glass.

Someone else calls this person and the person heads out.

I keep the bottle and the glass on the table and walk to the door and open it.

Suddenly, two people slam against the wall. The boy is hungrily kissing the girl.

I blink my eyes to see who it is. My vision slowly clears and I realise that the guy is Kai.

He is slamming the girl against the wall again and again. He is acting nothing like how he acts around me.

"KAI!" I scream. They stop and Kai turns to look at me.

"Y/N? What are you doing here? You were downstairs?" He says, confused.

"That's why you were pushing your tongue down he throat?" I say. My eyes start to tear up and my heart feels heavy.

"Y/N don't be stupid! We were never in a relationship. We were just starting out. Also, I didn't say we were exclusive." He replies. Although I can't see him properly, I can clearly hear the smirk in his voice.

I can't bear the pain so I run back into the room and close the door with a bang. I sit at the bed and cry for ten minutes straight. My eyes fall on the bottle the person gave me before.

I pour it into the glass and gulp it down. I finish around half the bottle before someone opens the door and stands there looking at me.

My vision is very blurry and I can't recognise the person.

"Tae? Is that you?" I ask the figure as it closes the door slowly.

The person answers in a deep voice. "Yes."

"Your voice sounds different." I say. I try to walk but my feet are unsteady so I fall down.

The person grabs me and lifts me up, bridal style. Tae, I am guessing the person is Tae, puts me on the bed and sits down next to me.

"You're drinking so much! What happened?" She says.

"Kai .... Kai happened." I say between my sobs. I tell her everything as I continue to cry.

"Aish! That idiot. Don't worry! We'll find you a better man." Tae says, hugging me.

"But .... I hate myself. I guessed that he would be a fuckboy or a playboy but I didn't take myself seriously because I was so blinded by his act." I confess.

"I should have known. I am not beautiful or skinny. I am not the ideal girl. No one would ever even want to be friends with me except you." I continue.

"That's not true." She says, her voice even deeper this time.

"It is. Everyone knows that. I'm just a toy. He knows that I have never been with a boy. He just wants me because he enjoys doing this." I say.

As I say this, another figure slams the door open. "Oh! There you are." A very familiar voice says.

Tae gets up. The figure walks into the room the pushes Tae out. "I'll need some privacy."

"Y/N, I spent three weeks on you but never got what I wanted." The voice says, walking towards me.
