Imagine: Darry taking you to meet the gang

I see a shabby house in dire need of a paint job come into view. Darry's house. I've seen the place before, since I'm middle class and had a few high school friends that were cheerleaders. I even live about a fifteen minute drive away from Darry's house. My hands start to get clammy and a little sweat trickles down my back. Darry notices I'm starting to get really nervous and puts a hand over mine as he pulls to a stop in front of the house.

"You'll be fine."

"Darry suppose they don't like me, suppose I'm the butt of all their jokes, suppose-"

"Now quit talkin' like that I know the guys. They'll like you just fine. They might tease you a little, but don't worry 'bout it."

"Gee that's reassuring." I reply sarcastically. Darry laughs softly, getting out of his truck. I follow behind him, sighing. Darry wraps an arm around me as he opens the fence. I look at one window and see about six heads fighting to see what's outside.

I look up at Darry, trying to find someone reassurance in his eyes. "You'll be fine, (Y/N)." He assures swinging the door open. We walk inside and I see six teenage boys standing in front of me. "Ponyboy and Sodapop, standing right there are my kid brothers."

Darry continues to introduce the boys. One with a Mickey Mouse shirt comes up to me shaking my hand wildly. "So you're the gal that's keepin' Darry two seconds away from sockin' us all to pieces." Another boy, that goes by the name of Dallas, slaps the back of Mickey shirt boy's head.

Later in the evening, Darry takes me back home. He and I stand in front of the front door. Darry has his strong hands lovingly placed on my arms. "See, wasn't so bad was it?" He teases

"Yeah, I guess." I smile, blushing in the darkness of the night. I look away, trying to hide a smile. Darry gently turns my face back to face his. We gently kiss for a little while, and I slowly pull away. I smile at him, as I open my front door. "Good night, Darry." I wish him as I open the door

"Good night, (Y/N), I'll see you soon."

I blush wildly and walk inside, with a huge smile on my face. I walk upstairs to my room. I shut the door and lean my back on it, replaying all the sweet memories I've ever shared with Darry. I think I could spend the rest of my life with that man.
