Mom and Dad are dead. It was all I could think of. I walked to the closest KFC to drown out my emotions with a bucket of chicken. Then I saw him. He walked casually through the door. He glanced at me, then walked to the ordering stand. My heart fluttered. I have never seen such a beautiful creature in all my life! He ordered a big crunch and sauntered over to my booth. I stopped eating and stared at him in all his beauty. I must have zoned out because the next thing I knew, he was sitting right beside me, eating his Crunch. SO BEAUTIFUL, I thought, looking him up and down. This man was Tide, a well-known tub of detergent that lived just outside the Laundry Machine.

He looked up from his sandwich, staring into my the depths of my soul. "The name's Tide," he said smoothly, "And you?"
