Kore followed the odd looking man around. She had walked well out of the city by now.
"Would you stop following me?!" Yelled the man, his brown eyes glowing in irritation. He looked at the frizzy haired girl in frustration.
"No, you're my dad now!"
The man looked at her like she was crazy, which she probably was.
The man with spiky black hair in a head band sighed. "Don't follow me!" He commanded. It didn't hold.
After a while he finally gave up.
"Ok, fine. My name is Ging, and I'm a Hunter! Do you really want to try to travel with me? I won't slow down for you."
Kore nodded, her blue eyes glinting seriously, "Yes!"
Ging, exasperated, asked, "Where are your parents anyway?"
"Oh, well they're rottin'." Kore said, her brown hair bobbing where she walked.
"Rotten? What did they do?"
"No, I mean they have maggots in their ears, they're rottin'," Kore explained.
"Oh."
Ging looked at the malnourished girl in pity before accepting his place now.
