"This is actually really hard without Jihyo.." Chaeyoung said, irritatingly chewing on her pen as she layed across her bed with a book in front of her.
"What is?" Dahyun asked as she was laying in her own bed under Chaeyoung's, looking at her phone.
"History... I just can't remember all the dates and information, there is too much." The younger sighed.
Dahyun chuckled. "Ah school, I remember also having trouble with it. Although I had trouble with maths more."
"I don't. I just have trouble with these subjects where I have to remember stuff. A lot of stuff." Chaeyoung motioned to her huge book, even though the older couldn't see her.
"Want some help then?"
"Yes please." Chaeyoung pleaded, as Dahyun climbed to her bed laughing.
"Now what do we have here, world war one?"
"Yes... But why do I even have to learn about this? We didn't even participate in this war..." Chaeyoung stated. "Or did we?" She asked confused.
"Well to be honest, I'm not really sure, but I think not. We shall take a look then." Dahyun said laughing lightly, flipping through the pages.
Something felt off about Dahyun to Chaeyoung, she wasn't her usual self, the younger noticed. "Hey Dubu, what's up?"
"Hmm?" The other hummed, still focused on the book in front of her.
"Is everything okay?"
"Uh.. yea. Everything's great." Dahyun tried to mask her feelings wiht a soft smile, as she looked at Chaeyoung, but the younger saw right through that.
"Why do I have a feeling like you're lying?"
Dahyun looked back at the book swallowing, trying to contain the small tear that was about to escape.
"No I'm good, just a little tired." She forced another smile, but she couldn't fool her best friend.
"I'm not buying this Dahyunie." Chaeyoung said as she closed and removed the book in front of them, brushing the olders hair out of her face. "You haven't really been yourself lately, and I noticed your smile doesn't quite reach your eyes. And I would know, I love it when you smile with your eyes. So now tell me, what's going on?"
"You can read me so well." Dahyun sighed, laying on her back. "Well it's Momo. Mina and Momo to be exact. They seem inseparable lately. Whenever Mina asks for anything, or asks for Momo, Momo is there. I haven't been able to spend more than a few hours with her, except when she sneaks into my bed at night, but then her alarm rings every morning at exactly 6 am so she can leave. And honestly, I am afraid that it is for Mina. I see how she looks at Momo, and it's as if she has some kind of spell over her. And the lack of physical contact is killing me, as much as I'm ashamed to say that. She just comes over for cuddles at night. When she makes sure Mina is asleep. And it's not really the physical contact I miss the most, I miss Momo. I miss her laugh, and being the reason for her laugh, and I miss her goofy personality, and I miss the times when we'd hang around the practice room longer, and I would watch her dance, and get lost in it. It is truly beautiful. But now I guess Mina has the privilege to see her like that. My Momo."
A small tear left her eye, and her best friend was quick to catch it with her fingers, quickly wrapping the girl in a hug.
"Hey, no crying. I'm going to cry too then, and what will we look like then? Like two silly weak girls who cry for smallest things? Those are annoying, come on." Chaeyoung tried to lighten the mood, succeeding, as she heard a small chuckle from Dahyun. She smiled at the genuine reaction. "And let's not jump to conclusions okay? Maybe you got it all wrong. And you know Momo and Mina are really good friends. Also maybe something is troubling Momo, you should probably try and talk to her, see what's on her mind. Communication is key."
