Greece

It was a hard blow to her left side of her jaw,
excruciating pain flowed up and down her body in waves of electric shock. She screamed; loudly but no one heard her. The man standing over her cackled loudly as he picked her up by the hair of her head and flung her head black in down to the hardwood flow.

There was blood flowing from her wound inflicted by the cut on her arm and now she could feel trickles if red falling from her forehead down her cheek.
"Please." She begged, "Don't"
But she received her answer with a slap across her next cheek and she screamed to the top of her lungs.

Greece awoke with a sweat stained face and immediately checked herself for any injuries but when there were none she breathed a sigh of relief, it was only a dream, this time she was safe. Her one bedroom apartment was definitely did not impress as the floor boards were rickety and the walls were not sound proof she could hear everything her supposed neighbors were doing.

Suddenly Greece thought of Allegro and instantly wrapped herself up in her blankets. She knew for a fact that she would feel safe with him and she also knew for a fact that he was dangerous. She knew that even before she saw the gun in his waist band. But seeing the gun didn't make her afraid of him it only intrigued her and right now, she wished she could see him again but she knew that it was only by a long shot that she'd ever lay eyes on him again.

The work flow that night at the bar was steady but not full and even with the lack of patrons Greece was still running up and down like a maniac. The lack of patrons tonight was as a result of the shooting that had taken place but people still drank to their hearts content even with a few unattended bullet holes still in the roof. She ever so often would take a look at the door just in case he walked in but it was a disappointment every time.

The club closes at 3 o'clock in the morning and it was only at quarter to four that Greece was just leaving.
"Took you long enough." A deep voice suddenly emanated from behind her.
And there he was standing before her with his arms crossed. He was wearing a suit again and his dark hair was neatly combed back revealing his dazzling blue eyes.

"You were waiting for me?" Greece's voice was soft.
Allegro smirked, "I wanted to see if you were okay,"
She nodded understanding, "Thank you for the other night."
He nodded, "Your name, I'd like to know your name?"
"Greece."
"Allegro" they shook hands and she couldn't help but feel a spark shoot up her arm.

Her eyes widened at the contact and she hoped that he felt it too.
"If that's alright with you I'd like to walk you to your apartment."
Greece shook her head, "The walk is at least forty minutes I couldn't allow you to do that."
She saw Allegro suddenly frown, "You walk for forty minutes all by yourself through the streets at this hour?"

She shrugged, "The buses aren't cheap at this time and hardly any of them take me directly to where I need to go so I just walk."
He shook his head, "It's not safe."
"Come, my car is just around the block, I'll drop you."
Greece suddenly looked at him skeptically, "You're not going to murder me, are you?"

That earned a chuckle from Allegro, "If I wanted to do that mio amore I would have done it by now."
He stopped at a sleep Maserati and opened the passenger door for her and got inside.
Greece had gotten a clear picture of what he did for a living but was not content in sharing her findings as he started up the engine and looked across at her.

The drive was silent and Greece felt an emotion in which she hadn't felt in a long time, comfort and safety. He stopped the car in front of her apartment complex and she couldn't help but notice a look of worry flashed through his eyes.
"Don't worry, the place is alright." She laughed it off.
Allegro nodded his head and got out of his car and followed her up the stairs. She juggled her keys in her hand and swiveled her heel to face him.
"Thank you for everything."
He nodded, "There's no need to thank me," he could see into her apartment and again his eyes furrowed.

"Not planning on staying long or just moved in?" His eyes raked hers.
She knew he had seen the boxes that were still unpacked and she just shrugged.
"I go wherever the wind takes me."
He nodded, not quite believing her, "Give me your phone." She handed it to him and he put in his number.
"If there is anything I can do to help please, don't hesitate to call."

His eyes were pleading with her and Greece nodded her head at the stranger, promising to do as he asked.
