Are you like others who are great at coming up with story ideas, but can't seem to get past that? Do you lose your inspiration or motivation to continue after dreaming up these ideas? And when this happens, you simply move on to the next big idea? If this is you, you're probably wondering how you can resolve this.
The greatest piece of advice I can give you is this: COMMIT! Yes, that's right. You must pace yourself and commit to one idea to develop into a story. Trust me, commitment is no easy thing when writing because it's very easy to lose focus and want to jump to another project. DON'T. Keep your focus on developing one idea (refer to TIP #2 for developing your story), even if that means developing it into a much shorter work like a short story. At least, you will have developed something. You will have gotten your thoughts past the ideas phase.
[RECAP]
PACE. COMMIT. FOCUS. DEVELOP.
