Matt's POV

I kept my hood on and walked behind them. I listened in on their conversations. They got along quite well for people that just met. We had walked a while and were pretty close to the funnel cake stand. I'm not sure how far we were to begin with, but they still kept talking.

"So F1lthy is your blood brother?" She asked Oogie in a polite way.

"Yeah, I started making beats because of him." He replied with a smile.

"The only thing my brother inspired me to do is be a-" she stopped realizing she was about to say something wrong and quickly changed the topic.

"Hey! Look, there's the funnel cake!" She smiled and skipped towards the stand.

Oogie looked back at me. "I wonder if she'll ever finish that sentence."

"We both know it ended." We both laughed and kept walking towards the stand.

"One funnel cake, please ~!" She spoke to the man working behind the stand. Wait, only one? Isn't it three?

"Hey, I want one too! Why are you only getting one?" Oogie went up to her and furrowed his eyebrows.

"Oh. I'm paying for my own food. Don't you guys do that too?" She laughed and paid for her funnel cake.

Oogie looked at me and raised his eyebrows.

"I told you." I shrugged at Oogie. Kate stepped aside and waited for us as we went up and paid for our cakes.

"Thanks," Oogie said to the man and walked towards Kate. They started talking and laughing while I took my time and walked as slow as I could. Oogie really did steal my girl. Friend? Acquaintance. Oogie stole my acquaintance. They spent a while walking and talking. Shortly after, Oogie stopped walking and waited for me to reach him then started talking to me.

"So, I talked to her," He started.

"and you're completely right." He continued. I looked up at him in confusion.

"You're right. She's not like your past ones. Just look at her, singing your songs while jumping, eating funnel cake, and bobbing her head. Not a care in the world." He smiled. I turned to Kate and smiled, too.

"If you is a lame, Ima notice ~!" She sang, picking at her funnel cake happily.

"She's full of life. I doubt she's ever been broken," He took a moment and looked at me.

"Don't be the first." He sighed. I looked up at him.

"Why would I break something that precious?" I spoke with a smile. Oogie laughed and I looked down at my feet. I thought about his words. They kept repeating on my head. 'Don't be the first.' I was lost in my thoughts and then Oogie spoke again.

"Speaking of which, where'd she go?" He spoke and I looked up immediately.

"Kate?" We both spoke as we parted ways and looked around for her. She's precious but she's already a handful. It's the full package.

Kate's POV :D

Oogie had stepped back to talk to Matt. So now, I was walking in front of them and they were both behind me. I ate my funnel cake in peace and listened to another one of Matt's songs, Deposits. I sang along and bobbed my head. I jumped and down every now and then too. Then I heard my name being called. I looked around and saw Jordan in the dark. I looked back at Matt and Oogie then walked towards her.

"What's up?" I asked her, still eating my funnel cake. She stared at me.

"What?" I asked her. She grabbed my funnel cake and threw it in a trash can behind her.

"Hey! I paid for that funnel cake!" I yelled. She covered my mouth with her hand and I licked it. It tastes terrible, something I always expected of her.

"Bleh. Disgusting." She said, rubbing her hand on her pants. I smirked, paused my music, and put my headphones away.

"I called you over here for a reason," She huffed and looked me in the eye.

"I'm not rude to you one bit. If anybody's being rude, it's-"

"Me," I spoke. She looked at me in confusion.

"You're completely right. I thought wrongly of you. I always have. And I apologize. I always talk about not judging a book by its cover, but I get it now." I sighed and held out my hand.

"Friends?" I smiled and waited for her to shake my hand. Instead, she grabbed it and twisted it. I groaned in pain.

"Heh. I would do something back, but I'm not with the violence." I chuckled and spoke through gritted teeth. I grabbed my hand. Girl's got strength, hate to say it.

"Right. You would but you're all talk. Aren't you, now?" She tilted her head and put her hand on her waist. That's the attitude that get's me started. I clenched my fists at my waist. I gave her to the count of three to stop laughing.

1. Still laughing.

2. Still laughing.

3. You had your chance.

I clenched my fist a little harder and punched her in her gut. She groaned in pain and kneeled on the floor.

"I could've hurt that pretty little face of yours. I didn't though. Would've been too obvious." I shrugged. She stood up and gritted her teeth.

"Well, I can." She spoke and aimed a punch at my face. I prepared myself for impending doom. I closed my eyes because her dirty knuckles could've broken my glasses.

Did I mention I wear glasses? I didn't think so. Wait, something's not right. I opened my eyes and found a fist in my face. Someone had stopped her from completing her hit.

"Sorry I'm late, baby girl. I'm here now, though." Matt spoke from behind me as he let go of Jordan's clenched up hand. Wait, did he just call me 'baby girl?' Did I hear him right?

"You okay? You hurt?" Matt said, looking me in the eyes. We stood like this for about 6 seconds. As much as my fangirl self wanted it, it's wrong. I shook my head and looked at Jordan. She looked as if she was in shock or something. I took one step towards her and Matt pulled me back.

"Nope," He said.

"You've done enough." He said to Jordan. He walked in front of me and shook me a bit.

"My funnel cake.." I frowned. He laughed.

"As for you, baby girl," that confirms my thoughts, he did say it.

"you're done here as well." He turned me around and put his hands on my waist, guiding me away from where we were. He walked me towards where Oogie was and didn't let me go. He was still behind me.

"Oogie," Matt spoke and Oogie looked at both of us. Matt wrapped his hands around me, hugging me from behind. He put his chin on my head and sighed.

"I won't be the first." He said to Oogie. Oogie gave him a lighthearted smile and I looked at him in confusion.

He kept hugging me as he talked to Oogie. Meanwhile, I'm standing here trying to wrap my head around everything that just happened.
One, I leave the guys because I hear my name being called.
Two, I use violence because someone decided to twist my hand.
Three, Matt saves the day and my face remains in one piece. Haha, One Piece. Anime.
Four, I'm being taken towards Oogie.
Five, he hugs me tightly from behind and puts his chin on my head.
Six, Matt says some words, and I have no idea what he meant by it.

I think about it some more and I have come up with the conclusion that these boys are out of their minds and are about to abduct me onto their space vehicle and that I should make a run for it.

And also that the last thought I just had was a pretty long sentence.
