I woke up to a scratching on my nose and a smile in front of me.

I grabbed my sister and rested my face in the crook of her neck while she cooed to me and rubbed my hair.

She lifted my head and wiped my eyes and smiled. Her bright red hair, freckles, brown eyes, and soft smile were just how I'd remembered them. She was so beautiful, inside and out.

She looked me in the eyes and said, spill. Lia instantly looked sad and worried.

I forced a smile and swallowed the lump in my throat and said it.

"I'm pregnant."

She looked at me. And I mean really looked at me. I could see the disappointment in her eyes. She hadn't saved herself for marriage, but for Cameron, her soulmate. She had lost her virginity when she took him to Monte Carlo for our father's wedding. She had four girls after she was married. Livia also did a lot for women who had children in bad situations. I knew she wasn't happy with me right now, especially that I was bringing a child into a difficult situation.

She stood up not looking me in the eye and said, "This calls for hot coco. I'll tell Cameron to take the girls to the cottage, so we can have the place to ourselves."

She walked out and left me with my thoughts and I soon drifted to sleep.

I awoke when I saw the fireplace had been lit and there was a kettle of hot milk, a packet of cocoa powder, a cup of sugar, and two cups on the nightstand. She was cradling me in her lap watching the fire. I could tell she was praying. When she was really worried she would forget to close her eyes when she prayed.

"Well good afternoon sleeping beauty."

I looked up at Livia and she just smiled and smoothed down my hair.

"Let's talk over some coco."

She stood and made the drinks and cradled me again.

"Who's the father?" She quizzed me with her trademark one eyebrow raised look.

"My roommate, Lauren, it is her brother. He left his pregnant fiancée at the alter in Santorini and flew to Manhattan to see Lauren. He showed up at the apartment around 2 am. Lauren and her boyfriend were in London at the time, and he didn't know that. It was late and I told him just to stay. One thing led to another and it just happened."

"Hold up Ana, his PREGNANT FIANCÉ?"

I flinched, she never rose her voice. She quickly apologized and said she was just shocked. I was too, for many reasons.

I told her about how guilty we both felt but how we became friends and how he stayed at the apartment for a month and how we became very close and in love. His father called shortly after 4 weeks and told him that his jet was at JFK and that Amelia, his pregnant fiancé's water had just broke. I told him to leave and had walked him to the elevator and how he whispered my name right when the elevator doors were about to close close. How I'd never felt more broken inside.

She held me for a good 20 minutes after I'd told her everything and just rocked me and soothed my tears.

She sat up and looked at me and said, "Well mama bear, what are you gonna do."

I looked at her like she was crazy and told her that I plan to keep the baby.

She told me her and Cameron would support me during everything and that she knew the aunts would too. We talked which gender we thought. She thought girl but I knew it was a boy, she is obsessed with little girls. We talked names anywhere from Allie to Zac.

It had been too long since we'd talked.
