Anne finally came around to Brooks. She took a week off to go to London with Brooks and to spend time with their daughter while I was in Monaco. Archer has been checking up on me, and yes I did finally tell him about Cookie. He accepted it and understood my situation, surprisingly. Livia had been calling and checking up on me this whole time. You know making sure I was taking my prenatal vitamins and eating healthy. Everything so far seemed to be going great, but I had a feeling it wouldn't last long.
My half-brother Logan's wedding was coming up, and I am flying out of Paris to Monte Carlo in the morning. My family was still oblivious to my pregnancy, but it wasn't like I could hide it any longer. I am now 23 weeks and I have the cutest little bump. I hope they will be supportive. I know Arabella will since she likes to stay on my good side. My half siblings probably couldn't care less, but I know Liv will make them smile and say nice things to me. My aunts will probably swoon over the thought of another baby in the family, so I'm not worried about them. Daddy is the one I'm worried about. I know he'll be disappointed and will be even more when I tell him I'm going to raise the child on my own. He probably won't be on board until after the baby is born, but that's ok.
I've already had a couple check ups on Cookie, but I didn't want a sonogram without Livia there. Then of course I go back to Paris once I finish In Monaco, and meet with my best friend Lauren to tell her about the baby. That will be an interesting conversation.
As soon as I step out of the jet I'm hit by the scent that is Monte Carlo. It feels good to have the sun beating down on me and to feel the gentle breeze again. The pilot grabs my luggage and stuffs it in my Porsche that always remains in Monaco. I told Henry and Emmarie to take the week off and to enjoy themselves while I was in Monaco. They deserve a vacation away from me.
I hop in the drivers seat and coast through Monte Carlo. I pass most of my family's casinos and hotels on the way. I see people on the beaches and people strolling along sidewalks. It's different than my normal, which is very fast paced. The energy and aesthetic is entirely different.
I drive up to Father's estate gate and put in the pass code. The massive gates open and I drive up along the winding path. My father owns a huge white Mediterranean style mansion complete with a massive pool, horse stables, tennis court, golf course, and private beach. My father owns the hill the house sits upon and my aunts own a house at the bottom of the hill. I pull up and park my car by all the others, and I'm immediately bombarded by workers taking my luggage out of the trunk and leading me towards the house. I see tons of people setting up tents and setting up decorations for the wedding. I make my way into the house and it's even more chaotic in there, I motion for the people with my luggage to follow me to my bedroom. I climb the stairs to the second floor and go to the last door in that corridor. I open the door and I'm immediately hit by the scent of my old room.

I always liked coming back to this room. I moved to Montauk when I was 6, but I moved back when I was almost 16 and I finished high school in Monaco. I had moved here after I had my heart broken for the first time by a boy. Anyway I grew up a lot in this room. I made my very first friend that was a girl at the private school I finished high school at. Gianna Russo and I had so many sleepovers and made so many memories in this room. She is now a model and spends most of her time in Milan, but comes back to Monaco and visits her family a whole lot more than I do. Or at least that's what my father says when he writes me whining about how I never visit him. *Dramatic eye roll*. I have one of the maids put my things away in my closet while I check my work email and answer some of the designer's nagging messages.
After I finish answering those meaningless emails I decide to pay Father a visit in the one place I know he'll be. I walk downstairs to and go the private wing, where their bedroom, offices, and personal spaces are. I see he's in the middle of a conversation with Ms. Baker, his secretary. I knock and open the French door to his office. He instantly smiles when he sees me, which makes me smile. Ms. Baker comes and hugs me and hands me a lollipop like she has since I was a child. I ask how her Dalmatian is and slip the pop into my pocket. Daddy dismisses her and tells me to sit down.
He folds his arms on his desk and I then see how tired he is when he smiles.
"I love what you've done with your hair Bunny, you look exactly like your mother now. However I did love the brunette look."
"Thank you Daddy. I felt like I should change it."
He stands and makes his way to his bar and looks through his drinks with his back towards me.
"You want to talk about it over a drink. I think I'd love to talk about anything other than this damned wedding. Don't get me wrong I love your brother and Jenna, but I'm exhausted. Now what do you want to drink? Whiskey? Gin and tonic? Rum and Coke?", he quizzes.
I bend my head down and scratch my head bracing myself for his reaction.
"Actually Daddy do you think you could just get me an Evian?"
He turns around and looks at me. Maybe I'm more known for my alcoholic drinks than I originally thought. His eyes never leave mine as he hands me my water and takes a seat across from me and puts his head in his hands. He sits like that for a minute and then looks up at the ceiling then finally his eyes settle on me as he folds his hands.
"Anastasia is there a reason why you're drinking water?"
"Yes sir. I'm pregnant."
He looks at me for a moment and then his eyes soften. He really has gotten better since he's been with Amal. He was depressed and lost for so many years, he's happy now. He's not the monster he once was I remind myself. I come out of my thoughts when he speaks.
"I'm not going to lecture you or make you feel worse then you probably already do. Children are always a blessing, especially the surprising ones. As a family we will always support and love you no matter what. I'm going to be a Papa again! My little girl is going to be a mommy!"
He gets up and wraps me in a hug. I finally let go of the breath I didn't realize I was holding. After a few moments he pulls back and asks the question I knew he'd hate the answer to.
"Anastasia who's the father of the child?"
Sorry it's been soooo long, but here's an extra long chapter!!! Please vote and comment!! xoxo
