Sorry for the wait I've been currently on a two week holiday and so I haven't been writing much. Thanks again for reading my book! I hope you like this chapter! xx
Chapter six: The Flying Monkey
Nothing's ever seemed so real.
Who would have thought bungee jumping would be so much fun? I can't explain how amazing it is. It's exhilarating.
The wind rushing through my hair, my skin being pulled tight as I rocket downwards. I also think I may have left my stomach up on the platform. Because it's certainly not there any more.
I didn't even know there was a bungee jump place near us. But now that I do, I'm definitely coming here again.
My eyes start to water as the wind suctions my face, my lips are flying everywhere and my cheeks feel like they've been blown up like a balloon.
Thanks Brady.
I keep falling and falling. The lakes surface looming up on me. I have a panic attack thinking I'll land slap on the water and die or something before I realise I'm strapped into a bungee. No doubt I'll probably lose my stomach again once I get sprung back up.
Oh hell, here it comes.
I squint my eyes, ready.
My head is soon submerged under the surface of the lake and I bite back a scream before I'm flung back up towards the sky.
I never felt so much adrenalin coursing through me before. The last time I felt like this was when we were playing paintball at Quinn's surprise party. Everyone else was out and it was just Brady, Chelsea and I left, well that was until me and Brady teamed up and got Chelsea out. But then we figured that one of us had to get out for the game to end. So we gave each other one minute of peace so we could hide and get ready. We ended up chasing each other for what felt like hours but when I was refilling my paintballs, he snuck up on me and got me right on the butt.
I had a bruise there for weeks.
"Yoo hoo? Down here."
I was too busy bouncing up and down on this bungee that I didn't notice a life boat jet thing was now positioned beneath me. And Brady is sat in it quite smugly.
"You comin down or what?"
I dangle my arms effortlessly below me, "but I like being a swinging monkey."
"Aww that's too bad." He snickers.
I put on my serious face, "I will spit on you."
He opens his arms out, "go on then."
He should know better than to test me, because he gets one giant drop of my delicious saliva directly on his forehead.
Now how's that for aim?

When your dad calls to tell you to come home, he really means, get your ass here right now. I got a call from him while we were sitting in a cafe nibbling on wedges and drinking hot chocolates after we had left the bungee jump place. Everyone was in light spirits and I know for a fact me and Brady were having some moments. I was hoping that later today we might end up having a big moment together, if ya know what I mean. But as soon as my dad called, we were in the car driving home in a flash.
I mean what was the big deal? He knows we went out.
I'm soon dropped off at home.
After I wave goodbye I walk in the front door, "I'm home." I sing. But I suddenly come to a holt.
